Lets just say Griz OC is still reeling from Cat lose last year also, and doesn't have very much confidence in Cole still, Cole messed up one of the easiest reads a QB can make in that pick to Kahiam last year

If so do you think it is possible the Griz will sign another transfer then this winter.

When is the last time the Griz didn't pick up a transfer QB? It seems like they do every year, or close to it, since Ah Yat (sp?).

Valid point, and it is a possibility that they could get a transfer but it's always a possibility for any D I-AA to get a transfer if they feel it will help their team

what's the prognosis for Swogger? how much time will he miss?
So was Farhad Azimi, or whatever his name was.
It's debatable whether Farhad actually played, or not.

Wow, could be that Selle is forced into action or comes in for lack of performance of the other qb then becomes a four year starter. That sounds familiar for us Bobcat fans. Remember Lulay. To bad he disliked Desin so bad that he did not want to become a bobcat.

Really? I thought I had heard they actually got along OK.

What I do know is when I watched Selle last year vs Bozeman High, I was tremendously impressed with his arm strength and accuracy.

What I heard was he was very interested in MSU and when they signed Desin then he would not sign with us, may be just a rumor.

I had heard the same thing about Austin Mullins and Shawn Lebsock. That one or the other didn't want to be on the same team as the other.

It was message board stuff, obviously didn't happen, as they are both Grizzlies.

Wasn't Neill brought in as a transfer that year?

It's true that not all of the Griz QB transfers have actually played (Neill and Washington come to mind), but there has been quite a long run of transfers coming into the program.

And again, just to belabor my position, I so wish that I-AA would quit being the drop-down division. It saddens me each time I watch a game on TV and the announcers speak of the transfers as though we are NFL Europe and the players are on assignment from the real team.

But unless anything changes to make it harder for guys to transfer and to force schools to rely more on high school recruiting, I only hope that MSU gets the best transfers in the country, and the rest of the BSC gets the next best set of guys.

BAC that's a pretty altruistic vision. For me, I don't have much of a problem with drop down players. These guys just don't work out at the program they're in for any number of reasons. Should their dreams of playing be snuffed out? I think the NCAA basically forces this situation by not allowing transfers from I-A to I-A schools to play for a year. I highlyl doubt we would have gotten Jefferson, Wheaton, Henderson had that been the scenario this year. How about the Griz, would they have gotten Swogger, Chambers, Coleman, ______(rb from Louisivlle)? I say it's doubtful.

It would be nice if guys stayed where they were. But, for the same reasons that we change jobs/careers, sometimes things don't work out like we expected them to and a change is necessary.

That's my $.02

That is exactly what I meant. Just because a high school recruit played over the transfer doesn't mean they didn't bring one in. It just seems like almost every year since Dickenson they have had transfer QB's come in. Not that I'm knocking it, just stating a fact.

Disney transfered here from a Junior College.

And under Glenn. Disney was a good QB, hurt most of the time, and behind someone better in Ochs, but a healthy Disney would have been just fine leading the Griz.

Had only Hauck actually landed Cole Morga. Dang, that would have been real nice.

BTW, how has Kramer done recruiting RB's? Dominick was average yet the best RB recruit I can think of until Groves, and prior to Groves, how did he do recruiting H.S. RBs?

I know Disney was a JUCO I was just listing other transfers that the Griz have brought in. I agree Disney would have been a solid quarterback for the Griz had he been given the opportunity to play.
