Parker graduated, losing Beasley might hurt a bit. Mack Anderson is returning for a Covid year so Ownens would have been relegated to the bench for a 3rd year and the other two never saw meaningful minutes. Things certainly aren’t as bad in Missoula as you all would hope for.wapiti wrote: ↑Wed Mar 30, 2022 4:22 pmGriz MBB being bit by the transfer portal.

Beasley is now the fifth player to enter the portal from this year's Griz team, which also includes sixth man Cameron Parker and role player Kyle Owens.

Aren’t you understating just a tad bit?? Parker still has eligibility but chose to leave. Seemed everyone was expecting him back and the transfer was a surprise. Beasley led the team in minutes and was second in scoring.GRIZFNZ wrote: ↑Fri Apr 01, 2022 9:12 amParker graduated, losing Beasley might hurt a bit. Maybe you are in denial? How many guys have left the Griz program in the past couple years?

Parker was honored on senior night, I don’t think anyone expected him back.Cataholic wrote: ↑Fri Apr 01, 2022 1:43 pmAren’t you understating just a tad bit?? Prior to the completion of this season the GRIZ have had 21 players leave during the 8 years TD has been the coach. That’s the 3rd fewest departures in the BSC. Of those 21 only 2 averaged more than 10 min a game and only 2 went on to another D1 program. Sure looks more like a case of “I want to play not sit, so I’m going to go the portal”. Talk that Beasley has a GF in Texas, maybe he’s looking to be closer to her, or maybe he doesn’t like Montana winters.
Didn’t you guys have 3 players hit the portal after last season?

Omg. Didn’t you have 5 enter the portal this season and 4 last season? Some of your guys quit halfway through the season if I remember right. And according to you, Parker graduated, so then he entered the portal. That makes a lot of sense! Pretty funny though how all those tranfers you mentioned above weren’t very good. Just curious, but who recruited those guys that weren’t very good?GRIZFNZ wrote: ↑Fri Apr 01, 2022 10:11 pmParker was honored on senior night, I don’t think anyone expected him back.Cataholic wrote: ↑Fri Apr 01, 2022 1:43 pmAren’t you understating just a tad bit?? Maybe you should check your egris forum. Lots of posters seem to think that something does not smell right with Gris basketball right now.
