I hear that the Griz LBs are so good that the rest of the FCS will be required to retire those numbers this year.griz5700 wrote:They make guys wait a few years. The backup would start for any other team in the country.

Griz linebackers are very good. But don't say stupid things.

Don't fool yourselves. Gamboa did not leave them any other choice. This is not his first run in with fighting. This is the first time it made it to the law. He has significant anger control issues, especially when he is under the influence. Controlled on the field, makes him a good linebacker. In public, he is a nuisance.

Maybe the Griz should bring back Delaney to clean up the program. Oh wait, that was just last year...

Re: Two griz Linebackers Arrested
This is discussed a fair amount on sports talk radio, but it's always something interesting to think about ... the same attributes that we cheer for in a football player (aggressive, violent, "nasty," etc.) are actually the same attributes that we would attribute to a real a-hole in the real world. It has to be really tough for almost anyone to just turn it on and turn it off at the right times. Then you throw alcohol into the mix (which tends to revert people to their most primal versions of themselves), and you almost have to expect that the lines will be blurred in a big way.grizatwork wrote:Don't fool yourselves. You have to wonder how much the game is training some of these players to develop personality traits that end up being detrimental to their personal lives. Throw in a few shots to the head for good measure, and it's really no wonder that you see a relatively high level of aggression in many of these guys.
