Coastal has the ball and a 1 point lead early in the 4th in Fargo! Gotta pull for the underdog.

Sammy 24 Villa 24 5minutes plus to go in 3rd. Each team has scored a TD in the 3rd on one big play. V went for 2 on the point after to tie it up.

I can't believe the ewu game is not on espn or espn2.

True enough but ESPN 3 will do well enough for that ugly red carpet.

If I'm a coach at MSU, I'm looking at how SHSU has become a perennial playoff team that has success even during a "down year." That program has been on the upswing for awhile now. They turned the corner and never looked back.

I think a major part of it has to do with the fact that Sam Houston has the second highest academic entrance requirements of all the Texas universities, being second only to Rice. I personally think the North Dakota staff is building their team using the North Dakota State model and you are correct, in my opinion. Sam Houston didn't miss a beat when their coach left for Georgia Southern, who by the way won the Sun Belt in their first year.

All three of those schools are similar to us academically but we lag as far as facilities and revenue I believe. Anyway, you made a good observation but personally, I would rather look at North Dakota to see what both schools are doing if we are bound and ddetermined to remain at this level...and that could easily become a moot point in less than five years.

Where are EWU fans?! They just panned the bleachers and it is empty! This is the quarterfinals, with a helluva offense. If I was Baldwin I would know that I hit the ceiling and it's time to hit the road.

And neither EWU or ILL St have names on jerseys. Maybe I am reading more into this, interesting observation nonetheless.

Our team needs to get much better and more physical if we want to make playoff run anytime in the near future.

Last year our conference didn't't do very well. This year it appears the conference champion will have one playoff win against our conference and if their game will Illinois State continues as is, a real ass kicking. I wonder how we can become relevant in the playoffs other than a definite need for defense, especially on the line?

I think defense is really all that is needed.

If New Hampshire and North Dakota State meet for the championship, I shall tip my hat to you sir. Will have to go with what the large schools are doing with their defense, especially LSU. Long fast kids on defense.
