I didn't hear any mention of a video.
There was no mention of a video. Unfortunately that question wasn't asked directly.
I thought Gwen Florio really debunked all her haters. She came off as honest and polite. She's credited with bringing the story to light. It appears she's a key player in the DOJ investigation and cleanup. Shes done a great service to Missoula.

Thank you. I have a daughter who will be attending school there next year, and yes, as a father I still have reservations and a great deal of concern given how this episode in Montana is still being shrugged off as if it's no big deal. I recall Bozeman having had the same issues covered up many, many years ago and to this day, several of my relatives will not allow their kids to go to school there. Yep. They were, for the most part found innocent in a court of law by their peers. I've had friends and relatives point that out to me and then state it should be over, but really, they state they don't trust that their kids would be safe in Missoula and question whether I should allow my daughter to go to school there. It is a tough choice as a parent.
To me, Gwen Florio is an individual I'd put on the same level as Jan Kemp from Georgia.

If you've done a good job as a father and taught your daughter how to make good decisions and how she should be respected, I wouldn't worry about it. She won't put herself in a position where decisions made in this case could be made. It's very rare where a random, meaning both parties didn't know each other, rape occurs on either campus, yet both campuses experience that type of rape each year.

I know. I suppose that's part of the reason she is going there. Kind of an in your face attitude, strong willed young lady. But. Huge qualifier that but right there. She's my baby and all I can do is hope and pray the prevailing attitude of the time is and has been completely removed from their campus.

Absolutely. She fought for her school in an unpopular way, was ostracized for it, but made it a much better place and is now hailed for her work. Very similar to what Florio has done for Missoula.

My wife and I watched the segment. She's a UM grad and glad that I came along and converted her, 3 years ago. She was almost physically ill after watching the segment. VV is a smug POS.
The part that bothers me most, is that I live here in Missoula and have onły seen mention of the segment on BN. Did any local news stations mention the piece?

Somehow newsworthy items get selectively purged. Just as this information received little coverage around the local community (I'm sure they're getting tired of all of it and those apologists will always excuse behavior such as this and what goes on daily in Tallahassee), the Flathead failed big time when the local community failed to get adequate coverage of the largest coordinated effort between the Royal Canadian Mounted Police and our state and federal drug enforcement agencies made the single largest drug bust in our history. All the Canadians busted with the garbage were on their way to the Flathead.
It seems on the one hand we don't want to deal with problems and we think they'll go away if we don't discuss them and then on the other hand, one would have to be tired of hearing it over and over and over...really tough to accentuate the positive if all you see and read about is the negative within a community. (But I am concerned as a parent about my kids deciding to go to school there...

Damn KPAX trying to run the football team out of town. Gwen probably had something to do with it.
"It was like a coordinated effort by the Missoulian and the police to bring UM Football program down..."
