Someone on egriz posed the question "would they take him back". I could hear the collective groan from here.
He's got another year there. UNLV is not in a position to buy out his contract.
This is likely correct...I had it wrong.
I reported above his salary was $250,000, but recently found out prior to this season he was given a annual raise of $350,000 and a three year extension. The whole package came to around $2,000,000. So UNLV would face a buy-out of over $1.3 million. Likely he'll get another year unless the Rebs drop a huge bomb vs. Nevada Saturday in which case a few whales decide he must go.

Hauck has resigned at UNLV. Effective after the game vs. Reno.
Going back to UM?

He belongs in Missoula and let's face it, he had a lot of success there. It will be very special to watch him and Kramer. The timing couldn't be better; not certain when the quite phase is for recruiting but if I recall, NCAA recruiting rules never deterred him at Colorado or Washington.

It is a long shot, but not out of the question. This could get interesting...

The State of Montana is Bobcat country.
missoula....still just 20 miles from Montana.

According to egriz, it's already a done deal that Hauck is coming back there or there's absolutely no chance he's coming back there, depending on which post you're reading.

He's getting a $400 grand buyout. I hope they take that prick back in gizz land. He can maintain a program but he can't build one.
