Can't wait to watch it anyways. Hopefully an Eastern blowout (doubt it, but we'll see).

Yeah, I have a sneaking suspicion that Alpha's perception of game will validate his opinion regardless of the outcome. We can't win this one folks

Now that we're in conference play, it wouldn't hurt my feelings if the griz got blown out every game. Lets go BigSky. Make it happen.CPrice91 wrote:Yeah, I have a sneaking suspicion that Alpha's perception of game will validate his opinion regardless of the outcome. We can't win this one folks.

This one will probably be just like last fall when I said the cats didnt match up well with the Griz and they would get blown out. I got a lot of flack because you guys were ranked but we all know how that turned out.CPrice91 wrote:Yeah, I have a sneaking suspicion that Alpha's perception of game will validate his opinion regardless of the outcome. wow... just watching the replay on Root and caught the third scrore by the Griz, a TD run by Moore. Impressive run, but amazing that a personal foul facemask wasn't called on OT Trevor Poole on that run. Put his left hand right on the facemask of the defender, ripped his head sideways, and then shortly after, took both hands straight to the defenders face and snapped his head back. Moore would've scored without that block.

How about the PI non call on the Griz linebacker? WOW.CapitalCityCat wrote:wow... just watching the replay on Root and caught the third scrore by the Griz, a TD run by Moore. Hmmm - well I will stand corrected and actually agree with you if your numbers are accurate, but it wold be better to look at the # of fumbles actually lost versus how many touches - rather than the season thing. I know Moore has put the ball on the turf more than three times in three years.AlphaGriz1 wrote:Nguyen has put the ball on the ground 15 times in 1.3 seasons.
Moore 3 times in 3 seasons..............
I will let you do the math.
Dont get me wrong right now with no QB the Griz suck but it wouldnt surprise me at all if they beat EWU. In fact I almost expect it to happen even with our very bad team.
They are so over rated its sickening.
Their fans are douchebags and you wont see them around after this weekend

Actually, it's the Griz who don't have a QB, because none are starter worthy. EWU on the other hand has two; both Padron and Adams are starter worthy, with unique talents that can gash defenses. The Griz will have to prepare for both. Poooooooor Jizzlies. Hope you enjoy that 2-3.

In my entire adult life, every time the griz were "done," they've somehow managed to pick themselves up off the mat. I'm not betting against them...
I just hope they beat the sh!t out each other for 60+ minutes, and that EWU's "griz hangover" lasts an additional week

Re: Nau-griz
I agree. I remember dancing on their grave (or so I thought) after they lost badly to Sac State in the 4th week of the season last year, falling to 2-2. Then they proceeded to win 9 straight games, not losing again until the national semi-finals. And before crowning TM as the worst QB in the BSC, remember that JJ didn't exactly tear up the league early on last year either, but obviously became a very good QB by the end of the season. I'm glad that the EWU-UM game is on after ours, because I'm really looking forward to watching that one. EWU has to be favored, but UM would really be behind the 8-ball if they lose and fall to 2-3, so they will definitely be playing with a sense of desperation.cat_stache_fever wrote:In my entire adult life, every time the griz were "done," they've somehow managed to pick themselves up off the mat. Re: Nau-griz
Jesus christ, JJ didnt have that bad of a year, he had two solid games and then blew the fu*k up. He was hands down the best QB in the BSC and it wasnt even close.
If we had JJ this year you and I both know the Griz wouldnt lose a single game.

Re: Nau-griz
That's a pretty easy boast to make, since JJ obviously won't be playing at all this season. But let's come back from La-La land, and try living in the real world, shall we?? How many wins are you predicting for the Griz with the QB's that actually will be playing for them this season?AlphaGriz1 wrote:Jesus christ, JJ didnt have that bad of a year, he had two solid games and then blew the fu*k up. Re: Nau-griz
No, no apologies needed. I'm actually not making any assumptions as to how the game will go; no clue whatsoever how that will turn out. All I'm pointing out is that, as it currently stands, you've maneuvered yourself into a position that you will claim you were "undeniably correct" regardless of the game's outcome :p.AlphaGriz1 wrote:This one will probably be just like last fall when I said the cats didnt match up well with the Griz and they would get blown out. See, here's the four options:
1. Eastern blows out the Griz, or otherwise wins comfortably. But of course that was going to happen, the Griz suck this year and the only quarterback that can throw is on their bench - so it actually doesn't follow that Eastern is a good team, the Griz just aren't that good (compared to last year, at least).
2. Eastern wins a close game. Obviously, since the Griz are down this year this only proves the point that Eastern is hopelessly overrated.
3. The Griz win a close game. See, I told you so - Eastern's so overrated they couldn't even beat the Griz when they're at their lowest point.
4. The Griz blow out Eastern. Psh, told you they were overrated. And we aren't even that good this year. Serves you right for doubting me.
So yeah, your perception's already made up, as far as I can see it. Unless of course you'd like to make a definitive prediction now? :p

Re: Nau-griz
JJ was hitting his stride, but good quarterbacks hit a stride. It's what they do after teams start adjusting to them and the offense they're running that's the true measure of a good quarterback. We'll probably never find out if JJ would continue to play well or if teams/coaching staffs would figure him out and his play would settle back down.AlphaGriz1 wrote:Jesus christ, JJ didnt have that bad of a year, he had two solid games and then blew the fu*k up. Re: Nau-griz
I fell into the trap of responding to Alphie, after swearing that I would never do so again. But him saying that JJ was "hands down" the best QB in the BSC last year, and that UM would go undefeated this year if they had him, was so absurd that I just couldn't help myself. I'll readily admit that he was playing very well by the end of the season, but he was not better than BLM or D-Mac.TomCat88 wrote:JJ was hitting his stride, but good quarterbacks hit a stride. Well, that certainly wasn't an outright prediction that NAU would win, but I suppose you deserve partial credit. Just so there's no misunderstanding though, you are definitely predicting a UM victory over EWU...correct?AlphaGriz1 wrote:http://www.maroonblood.com/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=904
