Good win out of UM last night against a very good team and on the road.

As you say, I was just calling out low-class jerks on their actions. Again as you say, nothing wrong with that.MSU Toddler wrote:funny - in another thread i said it was a great win for the griz and gave credit to the coaches. guess we choose to hear / pick the things we want to make a point.GrizinWashington wrote:.And to be completely fair, the "poor sportsmanship" began from Cat fans who flat-out refuse to give the Griz credit for the win, saying it was luck.
sorry for stating my opinion on the matter (that i think several griz fans are piss poor sports and they wonder why people think of griz fans as arrogant), but thought that was the point of the message board . . . i.e. someone be a low class jerk and someone can call them on their actions.
my bad - keep it up...
And as I said, I really regret getting myself into this poor-sport pissin' match.....![]()
YOU on the otherhand immedietly go to the rivals board and gloat that the "Griz Win!!!" I just pointed out IMO CP lost lost the game and I still maintain that position.
AND YOU HAVE THE GALL TO CALL ME OUT AS A POOR SPORT
I knew I'd regret this.....
I'll address the bolded, italicized portion first: The thread is a UM vs. CP score thread. I would say the Griz winning is germane to that thread. If seeing "Griz win" pisses you off, I suggest not reading "Griz score update" threads, because you're bound to see it quite often.
As for the result of the plays, the Griz just can't win with people. Before yesterday, Hauck is way too conservative. Now, according to you, he's just to risky. And it's my opinion -- and the opinion of just about every coach in the land -- that teams make their own "luck". Luck will (statistically speaking) even out. I could take up 4 pages of this thread listing instances in which I've felt the Griz were "unlucky". If it seems as though the Griz are "luckier" more often that other teams it's because they do the things that create "breaks": They take care of the football; they're opportunistic at taking the football away from others; they're well coached and make tremendous in-game adjustments; they're strong up front on both sides of the ball, allowing them to take advantage in "risky" play situations; and finally, they have ALWAYS had stellar special teams. Most of the time what people perceive as "luck" takes place in the kicking game, where the Griz have always excelled. Just look at your own example this week. You could argue KSU got lucky in a number of special teams plays, or you could just admit their special teams were far superior to yours.
I'll I know is this: If it's luck that's gotten the Griz to the top of heap over the last 20 years, I hope they all -- to a man -- go out and buy Powerball tickets.
And yes I do. And I stand by that position.
And a huge thanks to Coachourt, 01, Cledus and many other Cat fans who have been extremely gracious and complimentary of the Griz win.
