Silly gris fans don't realize how lucky they are to get the Wildcats after we softened them up.ilovethecats wrote: ↑Fri Oct 28, 2022 8:45 amI can tell you already. It's like clockwork. Barron can get the ball out fast when needed, receivers wont have the drops they did with us. WSU D has good secondary, they will shut down the pass game and the front will stop um run attempts.
UI over SAC
UI's QB is completing passes at 71% on the season, he is accurate and can escape the pocket and get to the chains on his feet, they have 2 good receivers and 3 backs that run hard. On defense they are physical and will punch SAC in the mouth and take over the game. the only question is if they run Scatebo 30+ times they can maybe win, but I think they will hold him back some in preparation for WSU.
Note: I really hope that SAC can win, its best for us since I think WSU will beat SAC and we need UI to have a loss.
I'm probably biased though, WSU has been my second favorite BSC team since the days of coach Mac.![]()

I think the Wildcats will come out “loaded for bear” as the old saying goes. Too well-coached to let their playoff positioning get away this weekend.

Re: The Big 5 haven’t disappointed
The one thing that worries me about UM’s chances to win is that they were +4 turnovers and +4 penalties vs SAC and didn’t win. I wonder if Idaho fans are talking about this?ilovethecats wrote: ↑Fri Oct 28, 2022 8:45 amI can tell you already. It's like clockwork. He'll play just fine. Won't even notice him. I heard it mentioned in the run up to the game, but never heard anything after that.

Re: The Big 5 haven’t disappointed
I was almost certain that UM would beat Sac State last week. I thought the gris defense would match up well with their offense and I thought the Montana offense would manage enough big plays to get the win. I was obviously wrong. This week I thing WSU will steamroll the gris. Thier DB's will make it hard for the gris to hit the big play and I don't think they will be able to run the ball on Weber. Also, I know the gris have a great defense but I just don't think they are as physical as the wildcat offense. I was certainly wrong last week but I sure hope I'm not wrong this week.
Sac State is just plain better than Idaho. No way the vandals win that game.

Agreed. If I’ve learned anything over the last 20 years it’s that if the griz win tomorrow it’s because poor little Weber had bobcat hangover.Rich K wrote: ↑Fri Oct 28, 2022 1:48 pmSilly gris fans don't realize how lucky they are to get the Wildcats after we softened them up.ilovethecats wrote: ↑Fri Oct 28, 2022 8:45 amI can tell you already. Re: The Big 5 haven’t disappointed
Two big plays sunk any chance UM had. Another tough loss. Their defense got worn down late. Another good round robin game.TomCat88 wrote: ↑Wed Oct 26, 2022 10:21 amThere have been three matchups between Idaho, Montana, Montana State, Sacramento State and Weber State so far. All three were decided by 7 points or less and one went into overtime.
This weekend it’s Idaho at SAC and Montana at Weber. I think they’ll both be nail biters.
SAC 31, Idaho 27
Montana 17, Weber 13
I’m not too sure on SAC, but I think UM matches up well when on defense vs Weber. I don’t think Barron can pass on them and their run game is vanilla.
A win by Idaho gives them the best shot at the BSC title, which is kinda amazing.
The following week SAC is at Weber. Then the last game of the quasi round robin is UM at MSU.
RR Standings
SAC 2-0
MSU 2-0
Weber 2-1
Idaho 1-1
UC Davis 0-2
UM 0-3

Re: The Top 6 haven’t disappointed
I’ve become a fan of Davis. The way they’ve regrouped since losing to MSU and Weber on consecutive weeks is impressive. Yeah, the competition has been weak but they’re playing like an old school BSC team. Over 680 yards twice and averaging close to 600 a game over the last four games. I hope they beat Idaho and SAC. It’s a tall order, especially at Idaho.
