Bohl might actually be in the hot seat. Talked to one of the kids transferring out and it’s the coaches in general but mainly the HC. Who knows…I’m sure the younger generation of players is a lot harder to manage, especially like was said before, influential players start voicing their concerns and leaving.coloradocat wrote: ↑Mon Dec 27, 2021 5:10 pmI thought I saw something on Reddit about them generally liking the new OC. It's probably both factors you mentioned. If a few influential guys don't like the new coach and/or think they'll be better off somewhere else for whatever reason there might be other guys on the team that get the same idea and/or don't want to be there without some of their best friends.BelligerentBobcat wrote: ↑Mon Dec 27, 2021 4:55 pmHeard rumors it’s related to the OC (who was a candidate for the HC job here). Have no idea how accurate that is. Might’ve just been that after some left, the rest decided to go too.ilovethecats wrote: ↑Mon Dec 27, 2021 4:17 pmAnyone know what is going on down there? I get kids transfer but how many and how soon after their season is eye openingCommon Cat wrote: ↑Mon Dec 27, 2021 4:13 pmI remember asking their reporter prior to our game if there would be a scenario where Bohl was on the hot seat. He was very dismissive about it. I wonder what he'd say now....?

Imagine if Wyoming gives Bohl the boot, and then Vigen hires him as our defensive coordinator. Bohl is a defensive coach. That is his speciality. Would be pretty interesting.

Sounds like 3 more entered the portal. One was an All American on defense I believe. Something isn’t right.

lol, yep. Guy looking for a change, so he's going to leave an FBS head coaching position to become an assistant at an FCS program, working for his ex employee.
Great time to be a BOBCAT!

I think it would be more likely that Vigen would go to Wyoming as the HC than Bohl coming here as a DC.

Probably not the same story but I saw an article interviewing Wyoming's AD who indicated that Bohl will be back next season, but will need to adjust to the new "Transfer Portal Era" of college football.allcat wrote: ↑Wed Jan 05, 2022 8:40 pmHiLong Time Cat wrote: ↑Wed Jan 05, 2022 8:03 pmhttps://www.newsbreak.com/n/0ddorfhD?pd ... n_US&s=i16

So Bohl says you can’t have a passing game if the QB keeps throwing the ball into the dirt. Hmm. You also can’t have a passing game if the head coach keeps recruiting QBs who throw the ball into the dirt.catsrback76 wrote: ↑Sun Feb 06, 2022 3:16 amBohls taking shots at Chambers and all who left Uw this off season.

Yes, it didn't make sense to me that he who recruited these guys now claims they can't make the easy throws. Likely an excuse and not taking responsibility. It's a bit like Hauck dissing on players leaving Um for the portal all the while he lives in the portal hoping to find another QB!Bobcat4Ever wrote: ↑Sun Feb 06, 2022 5:01 amSo Bohl says you can’t have a passing game if the QB keeps throwing the ball into the dirt. That has to be one of the toughest (if not the toughest) places to recruit.RickRund wrote: ↑Sun Feb 06, 2022 12:08 pmSure sounds like things are not happy in Cowboy Land...catsrback76 wrote: ↑Sun Feb 06, 2022 11:28 amYes, it didn't make sense to me that he who recruited these guys now claims they can't make the easy throws.
