I believe Stitt was boasting about this at his Signing Day press conference. That's good that they were able to do that, but I'm not sure that's something you want to brag about. That's sort of like laughing at someone after you talked them down in price. #tact

From this article: http://www.active.com/football/articles ... holarships
How Many Schools: There are 125 schools competing in the FCS (formerly Division I-AA) in 2008. This includes all of the Ivy League schools and FCS powers like Appalachian State, Georgia Southern and Northern Iowa.

Scholarship Count: FCS schools have 63 scholarships to be distributed, and up to 30 incoming players each year can be given aid.

Scholarship Breakdown: Scholarships at FCS schools can be full or partial rides. The 63 grants can be divided up in any way, but no more than 85 players can be put on scholarship.
I have no idea if the data is current, I don't see a date stamp on the webpage, but the comments go back to December 2013.

I don't pay much attention to this anymore. Somewhere within this same ruling, as I recall, is a limit as to how many kids can be on the team for any purpose. Again, I can't recall the exact number but I believe it's in the mid 90s. Also something to remember is that academic scholarships do not count against the athletic ceiling. We've had several kids from the Best and the Brightest and the Grizzlies have had a few.

How many of Cliff's kids left when Coach Kramer took over? I thought it was in the mid 40s.

To which part, overhauling the roster? Pretty sure there will be close to 50 new faces this fall - not sure if there's any disputing that. Or are you referring to the comment that Stitt might be bending or breaking the rules in terms of schollie money for all these players? The APR thing can't be helped by this experiment, not a chance.

I'm more on the joking side griz5700. However, I've also never put much stock into spring ball correlating with anything that happens in the fall. I've seen good springs and awful falls and visa versa. Just my opinion on the whole thing.

Agree on the Spring ball thing. Also, you always have to ask yourself if the O looked so great because maybe the D has fallen off with all the turnover. Who really knows... obviously it will all shake out come Fall. All that being said, I do think the Griz will be respectable in 2016. I don't think they'll win the Big Sky but I do think they'll be a 7-4 ish playoff bubble team, and could possibly win a playoff game.

Both the Bobcat and Griz seasons will likely come down to how they do against NAU and EWU. We get both at home and they have to go on the road. With that said, I see an 8-9 win season for the western bear-turds.

Unless you know something I don't, the Griz have about 35 new players thus far. Here is the breakdown below. Don't let this distract you from the fact that the griz blew a 22-0 lead.
