"I listened to the Jacks announcers call the game on Yahose Sports last night and they offered alot more insight into something else that hurt us bad in Montana - The BIG SKY REFEREES. On several passes, the announcers claimed interference and said the refs were debating on throwing a flag and decided not too. The announcers also even started laughing about the spots that were given to Montana, one they got an extra 2 yards and 1st down from a favorable spot. By the second half, the announcers were resigned to the fact SFA would not get any good calls. Our defenders were getting thrown to the ground and I don't think there was 1 single holding call against MSU. If the refs are that one sided, it hurts the enthusiasm of players that are getting held on every play and no calls, and the receivers that are getting grabbed and hit before the ball gets there and no call. Just food for thought and keep this conversation going."
I've been all over the BSC ( and most of the nation) following the 'Cats), so have seen a a lot of I-AA officiating. I have never been to a BSC game anywhere (football or basketball) where their fans weren't always of the same mind set that the BSC officials suck. I'm sure that SFA might think they got "homered", but in fact the officials are equally inept regardless of who has the ball.

As El Gato mentioned earlier, once they establish the parameters of how they're going to call the game- they should be consistent. Unfortunately, I've never seen it happen.

FTG!!

Exactly, I've come to expect them to be bad. Still not used to it at all. I guess it probably evens out :)
