Of course no one there questioned it.
I was thinking the same thing. I think they are all HIGH on sugar
Next we get to hear how there was no drops and perfect passes in their 7 on 7 drills. I get a chuckle reading them.
Yes all their QBs can throw the ball through the goal posts from their knees from the opposite end zone. And their corners all run a sub 4.4 40.
Grizband: I wasn't saying we aren't boasting on our team. The theme here has been how organized and crisp the practices are, which is logical. At egriz every player is great. Somehow they're all good despite the fact that the QB moves the ball at will and the defense doesn't allow any yardage. I'm exaggerating just a tad, but this kind of report barks of a lack of objectivity. It's funny and it falls in line with all things Griz that some egrizzers have adopted. They can do no wrong. One guy was still whining about a holding call against UM on the last drive against GSU in 2000 yesterday. His belief was that holding can't be called that late in the game. Apparently the UM lineman thought so, too. Oops.
I digress. I'm sure there's some kind of explanation on how the QB and CBs can look so good at the same time, but whoever writes that doesn't offer one. Such as the QB looked good against the backup CBs and the CBs looked good against the backup QBs. ???
I really couldn't care less about any of this, but Crazy, I think I can answer your question about how QBs and DBs can both look good at the same time. Typically at this point in camp, teams are doing drills, not going to head to head. The D will be on one side of the field, the O the other.
I could care less, too, aside from the humor in it. Your explanation is a good one, but what I read wasn't coming off that way. You have to admit it's funny how some of these guys love to pile on the sugar over there.
Now you're sugar-coating the sugar-coaters!

My feeling is that most fans tend to sugar coat their own teams fall workouts, recruiting class, and spring ball. It is the nature of the beast. I also think that most fans that tend to look at EVERYTHING with rose colored glasses tend to be casual observers or apologists.

And yes contrary to local opinion, there is more than your fair share of sugar coaters here. Not as sweet as egriz, but it is here also. I think a lot of griz fans are spoiled and truly believe that the Maroon and Silver can do no wrong.

I just hope they make the team and don't get arrested.
Is that too much to ask? Is that too much sugar?

That is a sobering statement - so sad that Cats and Griz fans even need to say such things.
And no, that is not too much sugar.
Eric Curry
STILL makes me sad.

Very sobering indeed. I read this morning that one of the freshman recruits for the griz is going to be in school, but not playing this year. I think that is code for academic non qualifier. Not good timing. I know some kids pull out of it and do well. I think Hoffenbacker for you guys is an example and Van Cooper got his year of eligibility back for getting his degree, but this is absolutely the worst timing for something like this to happen.

Will you guys please let me know when Vandenberg gets into any kind of trouble in Missoula or anywhere else? Thanks.
I agree with a few of you about the "reports" from homos, er ahh I meant homers like Ronbo. When you read that lameasses posts you wonder why the Griz haven't won the Superbowl for 17 straight years.
What really makes me sick is the idiots that line up to worship at the Ronbo/ReMax posts. Sure it's great that those two go and watch practice but they are just fans and they sure as hell are not impartial.
Nobody has ever done wrong at a Griz practice, that is of course unless they had an injury.....then they are just "great" instead of invincible.
To each his own.

??? I don't get it. Vandenberg has some sort of penchant for breaking the law? Or you're being sarcastic?
BTW-- I loved the Super Bowl comment.

So true.

I'm still confused - do you mean "White" like J.D. Quinn? Or "White" like "Jason Wright" (alleged drug dealer murdered in Bozeman)?
Seriously Alpha, I do enjoy most of your posts....but stop digging the hole you're in any deeper....just let it go.

People like to hear the good stuff, and anyways I'm just a fan so my opinions are totally "uneducated" as I've only watched football, never played it. I've only caught 2 practices and saw lots of good stuff and some bad stuff. I commented on the ints, poor WR seperation and other stuff. Why don't you come to a practice sometime and put up a report bitching about all of the problems you saw? Then you could balance me out?

I am very confused. You have stated in the past that the griz have the best players by far in the nation and if we had a different coaching staff we would have three more national titles. Which is it? Do we have the players to win a national title or not? If so, what is wrong with the "sugar coated" reports from re/max and ronbo? I do believe most reports that end up on message boards are overy optimisic. They are posted by "fans" who catch practice and are obviously excited for the season to come and optimistic. This board is no different. Every message board in the nation is like that this time of year.
