I'm lost for words.
So am I.
I think there's a better chance that Stitt is one and done at UM than there's a chance the Griz D is as bad as ours was last year or that NDSU is not very good this year.
Who says NDSU isn't very good?

No one said it, but someone (catscat) was wondering it.

Last posession for ndsu may have lost the game for them. Bad play calling

NDSU lost their two playmakers from last year. They simply are not a better offensive team compared to last season, in my opinion, and the Griz d-line is tiny.

That's something to consider and Kent considered it when be room the risk of handing over the reins to this guy. I don't think he's a Bobby H. He said in an interview be felt bad about uprooting his kids and promised to buy them a puppy if he got the job. I think he sees them through HS in Zootown but who knows. Kudos to Haslam.

Yes. You need to dance with the girl you brung. But Carson Wentz is supposed to be good and NDSU probably thought they could catch UM playing run on second down. Third down was actually a great time to run it with the power NDSU has combined with UM playing pass there.
Personally I thought Wentz failed on second down. A first down there could of been devastating.

Pretty sure you said our D is worse than MSUs last year or did I read that wrong? No offense Cats it was a comparison he made not I.
I see good things next year for us.....and the year after. We have work to do but you have to admit new coach, new offense, loosing some great players we still came out swinging.

Looking back on a game like this it is easy to find all kinds of reasons, or mistakes, or situations that were costly. BUT I need to address the ndsu OC. With 2:40 or so left in the game all he had to do was control the ball and run out the clock with a team that is designed to control the ball and run out the clock. But he had a bright idea. "Let's throw the ball"! So two incompletions (clock killers) later NDSU is punting. Good lord!!
To the griz...way to finish.
No McNorton or Crockett
Who cares? It still forces Stitt to call timeouts. Nothing is guaranteed, but not having those two timeouts would have made UM's last drive that much more difficult. Definitely an end of game coaching blunder by NDSU staff.

Agreed and props to UM defense.
That series left the door wide open for griz. 3 runs up the middle for 2 yards may have won the game.

This thread is funny. I love how the best team wins -- unless the winner is Montana. In that case, the reason for the game outcome just HAS to be something else.

Hopefully those pricks take their Bizen signs off our Montana sign now. They can tuck their tails and head East.

Ash did the same thing at Wazzu and SMU. A pass there has the element of surprise, but you were dancing with pretty girl named Run It Down Their Throat and you left her for that girl with all the make up on? Turned out she wasn't all that hot when the sun came up.

It did. I hate to see coaches do that. That's who they are. Just be yourself and everything will be okay.

Anyone who watched that game and doesn't see the griz as a threat needs to take their blue & gold glasses off. The griz offense is legit & will chew us up if we don't improve immensely. Great win for the griz & Brady Gustafson, Who is A great kid!
I swear, it's like I'm playin' cards with my brother's kids or somethin'. You nerve-wrackin' sons-a-bitches.'

So what if they didn't have the running stars of years past. It's not like they had receiving stars in this game and it's a team game. As a team they were showing all day and especially late that they could move the pile and gain enough yards on the ground between the tackles. Congratulations to the Griz on the win and this is good for the BSC.
If you're looking for someone with a little authority, I'm your man. I have as little as anyone!
