Sprinkle assembling a good team
Just read an article about Sprinkle and the transfers he’s brought in and it sounds promising.
MSU - 16 team National Champions (most recent 2024); 57 individual National Champions (most recent 2023).

Re: Sprinkle assembling a good team
He picked up guards Desmond Claude and Wesley Yates from USC, along with six others. Claude averaged 15.8 ppg and shot 48.2%. Yates was 14.1 and shot 43.9 from three. Another promising player is ETSU's Quimari Peterson, who was 19.5 and shot 46.8%. Danny, as we all know, understands the importance of shooting (making). If you can get a couple 40%+ 3-point shooters on the floor at the same time you can do a lot of things. Or three guys that can make shots from multiple spots.
This quote from him from the Seattle Times is awesome:
"I'm more motivated than ever. I'm always motivated, but now we have something to prove. We really do. It's going to be the hardest thing anybody - me, my staff, our players - have ever had to do. Because you can be motivated and still get your teeth kicked in in the Big Ten."

Re: Sprinkle assembling a good team
Rooting for Danny to have a good year, the pressure on him could start to build if he doesn't. I feel like coaches these days aren't going to get years to build a program from scratch when the transfer portal has made that process largely obsolete. Recruit a winner now or they'll find someone else who can.
