I hope at least 10 of them were undercover Bobcat scouts.

We can poke fun at Sac State but I think by the fall we're going to be happy that they're the California team MSU doesn't play this year. Their head coach is the real deal and a phenomenal hire for an FCS (for now) team.

It's getting harder and harder to argue with the "JV" statements about FCS. Most of the historically strong programs have left FCS, leaving just the Dakotas and Montana schools as legit powers. With NIL and transfer portal playing the roles they play, we may well see the normalization of a bulk of our talent playing here for a year or two before moving on to a "higher" program ... much like the transition from playing JV and being promoted up to Varsity as an upperclassman.

I don't like it, but that is probably our reality until/unless we move up and make ourselves one of the cherry pickers instead of being the cherry pickees.

I think even if we move up, the big guys are still going to cherry pick us. We are a fairly rich fcs program, but will be small potatoes in Fbs. We are never going to get the big TV deals.
