Re: Thomas Ford new HC at Idaho
They probably wanted a quick hire before losing even more players to the portal, hope it works out for them. Big Sky is better with a good Idaho team.

Some of these changes were so quick to happen, make one wonder if they "were already done". WSU, UNM, Idaho. The WSU QB already to Oklahoma, etc. Wishing the Vandals luck with the hire. I have never heard of Ford before this. Like has been said, people need to make changes quickly so they don't get left out when doors close.

I suspect they were already done. We will have to subpoena phone records.RickRund wrote: ↑Thu Dec 19, 2024 8:49 amSome of these changes were so quick to happen, make one wonder if they "were already done". WSU, UNM, Idaho. Any competent Athletic Director will always be keeping a list of potential candidates to contact immediately if a new hire needs to be made without dragging it out into a weeks-long search process. I hadn't heard of him either but Ford seems like a great choice, D-2 head coaching experience, tons of recruiting connections in the Pacific NW, and he was apparently very well liked by the players when he was an assistant for Idaho under Eck.RickRund wrote: ↑Thu Dec 19, 2024 8:49 amSome of these changes were so quick to happen, make one wonder if they "were already done". Sac State also appears to have made a very good hire with Brennan Marion, former UNLV OC who is very well-regarded as an up and coming young coach.

Thanks... So maybe Idaho and Sac could have a heart beat sooner rather than later.

I haven’t followed it closely, but I see at least two vandals that entered the portal have decided to stay at Idaho.
