NDSU is in the MidCon - Press Conference this morning.
NDSU will have a press conference at 9am today to announce we are joining the MidCon. It is good to have the search for a home over, I just wish it had been the Bis Sky. However, the MidCon should provide BB with a home in which we will be immediately competative. This is a very positive development for NDSU.

Congrats to NDSU! And the Big Sky pisses away another quality opportunity.
What's the deal for SDSU, did they get in?

To answer my own question, it appears that SDSU has gotten invited to the Mid-Con as well. Congrats to them as well, and shame on the Big Sky for letting two great schools get away. Well I guess if there is any silver lining to this, it is that this ensures the survival of the Great West football conference for awhile and it is nice having another I-AA confernce out west.

Looking at the teams in the Mid-Con, I can't really say it would be too great of a fit for UM and MSU. However, I have entertained the thought of UM, MSU and a couple other Big Sky members pulling a WAC/Mtn. West-esque coup and forming a new confernce that included the Dakota schools and I agree the Big Sky state leaving the Big Sky conference would be very interesting.
