For what it's worth, the two colleges are less than eight miles apart.
If you search for a motel in either it only comes up with about 12 places to stay on the map on Hotels.com for both cities. Average hotel or motel I would guess at 100-150 rooms. Even at 200 rooms, 2 people to a room, take all the rooms 4800 people total. You can guarantee that all the rooms are not people going to a game at either place.

Here's a link to a post on the Vandal forum that presents an interesting idea. The basic idea is to hook up with a growing Coeur d'Alene and northern Idaho area via North Idaho College to provide for a substantial increase to the base.

You've got Lewiston only 30 miles away...this reminds me of when I was a kid. Who in their right mind would have ever thought of spending their weekend or vacation in the Gallatin Valley? Seriously. Today most working class people can't afford a cup of coffee in the area around MSU. Were Idaho to get rid of all their NAIA administrators and coaches, they'd become viable and competitive school again. They have a bunch who rather than compete just settle for what life offers them...they probably don't have any idea what it's like to go to work at 2:30 or 3:00 in the morning...I just had to include that for all you lazy sorry ass city kids who have no idea what it's like to actually work for a living...and you know in your heart you could never get through basic training let alone airborne or ranger school...pitiful pukes...

Wyoming and Nevada have announced their intentions to cancel their future games with Idaho. They cited the move "down" to FCS, but I'll bet this is the real reason.Rich K wrote:Here is a great reason to become a Vandal!

Sad state of affairs for Vandal football. Most active post on their football forum is about a woman cyclist. (Although she is amazing).Mr Lisle wrote:Wyoming and Nevada have announced their intentions to cancel their future games with Idaho. dropping down is old school for Idaho. You look back over their history and see they were a Pac 12 school from 1922 to 1958 and you see season after season after season of losing seasons. They were a Major College Division Independent from 59-62 and got no better. I'm talking 1-9's and 2-8's. Finally they go NCAA College Division, join the Big Sky and their world starts looking better. For several years prior to going back to Division 1A they were a dominant force in the Big Sky. But, they left and returned to their old losing ways. When they were booted from the Sun Belt where were they to go?...back to the 1-9 and 1-8 as an Independent. They are fortunate to have the BSC in their back yard. And Idaho fans....welcome back. Have some fun for a change instead of worrying how your team is doing in Jackass, LA.

Re: Idaho Football dropping to FCS in 2018
I have been reading portions of the vandal forum sense I found out they would be our first game this year. All the whining about dropping to FCS, fire the president, stop donating, stop attending. I don't recall one post organizing a fund drive for a new stadium or improvements to the one they have. If they truly wanted to stay FBS, buck up and put up. With such a poor facility they should have been booted long time ago.

The only guys left on that board are arguing over which type of gasoline should be used to burn down their own house.

Give UIU a break, they've had a tough go of it.
