Bozeman Native Matt Lubick

Post by Mr Lisle » Tue May 03, 2016 9:11 am

Was surprised to see Sonny's son, Matt, is Prukops OC at Oregon. Lubick lettered four years at Western where he was an NAIA All-American defensive back. He graduated from Colorado State. Looks like Lubick and Choate would have been together at Western in 1991.

PS For those keeping track of such things....Lubick is Oregon's highest paid assistant at $600,000.

Yep.....this was discussed a good bit during the coaching search. Lubick was rumored to be interested in the MSU job before Scott Frost went down to Florida leaving the OC job at Oregon open for Lubick. It was also rumored that Cramsey would be offered a position coaching job at Oregon to follow his buddy Dakota. That obviously didn't materialize and Cramsey got the OC job at Nevada.

In 2015 Marc Lubick was the wide receiver coach for the Denver Broncos. The season before he was an assistant at Vanderbilt.
He was a DB at MSU 1996-99 and left prior to the 2000 season, his senior year.
