I must say I am a little surprised. Wisc 71 - Kent 64
Just got an alert from Fox News. Sort of wish I would have watched. I did watch most of the early game in Sparks while having an early Easter dinner at our kids house.....

You missed a good one, that was a hell of a game. Too bad the first one between Michigan State and Duke was a dud. I am pulling for Wisconsin.

Big time college basketball is such an incredible joke. One year and then you leave. They make a mockery of whenever people refer to student athlete. I've never been a fan of the NBA but I used to enjoy March Madness. I'm rooting for Wisconsin, just because it's more of a 4 year school.

It was a great game. Glad Wisconsin won! I have no favorite this March Madness. You should have heard the announcers. Such a bias against Wisconsin. Shouldn't be allowed.

I kind of wanted Kentucky to go undefeated just to shut Bobby Knight up! At least ESPN said he's not going to be back next year. Amazing how some coaches have such love for their conferences, isn't it? What amazes me is the obvious difference in the athlete at that level compared to ours and realizing how many so called mid majors are building decent programs by luring kids who don't get play time in the major programs to places like Spokane and Cheney.bobcatmaniac wrote:It was a great game. I really could care less who wins this year (or any other year for that matter anymore).

You were probably watching on TNT. TruTV had the Wisconsin call.bobcatmaniac wrote:It was a great game. Glad Wisconsin won! I have no favorite this March Madness. You should have heard the announcers. Such a bias against Wisconsin. Shouldn't be allowed.

Did you know...
College basketball has gone longer w/o an undefeated national champion than horse racing has gone w/o a triple crown winner?

That ought to be enough to keep BAC's tail gate supplied with kegs of Copper John Ale through the playoffs...plus you can import some Wisconsin bratwursts for their grill while you are at it! I fear I will have to be in the home of the dark, evil ones if I want to see my youngest children at games this year...MT2AK_CAT wrote:I have Wisconsin winning one of my brackets and since they won I am up $450! I sort of switched around between all three networks during the course of the game (it was also on TBS, which was the national, i.e. impartial, broadcast), and I have to agree, the Kentucky announcers on TNT were incredibly biased. They bitched about every single call that went against Kentucky. They made Gurnsey and Holien look like the ideal of impartiality.LongTimeCatFan wrote:You were probably watching on TNT. To be fair when the other team scores a key basket late in the game after the shot clock expires, everyone bitches. I thought the Kentucky announcers handled it very well. The officiating was brutal both ways in that game, but that one call really reversed Kentucky's momentum. They also got hosed on a phantom foul call shortly after. Tough pill to swallow if you're a Kentucky fan.John K wrote:I sort of switched around between all three networks during the course of the game (it was also on TBS, which was the national, i.e. impartial, broadcast), and I have to agree, the Kentucky announcers on TNT were incredibly biased. No one asked the Kentucky or Wisconsin (or Holien/Gurnsey) announcers to be impartial. In fact, they made the format as such for a reason. You merely needed to watch the TBS version to get the unbiased version.
