I've often wondered how we stacked up against other schools in the conference as far as the # of sports go. I went through each school's athletic website and found some interesting things. I listed the # of sprts per gender.
Mens Womens
MSU 6 7
UM 5 5
Weber 6 8
UND 9 10
NAU 5 8
SAC 8 10
UNC 8 9
ISU 5 9
PSU 6 9
SUU 6 9
EWU 5 7
IDA 6 8
UCD 9 13
Poly 10 9
I included Idaho, since they are in the conference for BB and Davis and Poly for football.
Poly and Sac offer womens sand volleyball (guess that wouldn't work in the northern climates

)
Davis offers womens lacrosse & water polo
Portland State offers both mens and womens cheer
MSU is the only one to offer Skiing
UND offers mens & womens hockey (would fit well in Bozeman)
Anyways some interesting things...

I'm not sure where you got your numbers for UM, but the Griz have 6 men's and 9 women's with the new softball team
