There are currently six teams within a game of first place. MSU has to play three of them (ISU, Poly, UM). UM just two (EWU, MSU). ISU just two (MSU, Poly). Poly just two (MSU, ISU). EWU just one (UM). And, get this, NAU none. NAU has WSU, UCD, UND and So. Utah remaining. Those teams area a combined 6-26.
We have the toughest road no doubt but that's ok. If we win out we earned the outright title and no one can say we were gifted it with our schedule. I think we win two of the three so it just depends how the other teams fare to see how many share the title this year

Cal Poly will get their yards next week and plenty of points. But our offense should keep up. Trying to compare our offense to the griz is like comparing Bozeman High's offense to Big Timber's.

That was the first entire um game that I've watched all year. One thing that stuck out to me is how bad of a qb Johnson is. His entire passing game consisted of throwing the ball up for grabs. He seemed entirely incapable of going through his progressions. He seems the be the ultimate "system" player: his limited skill set effective only in the true spread offense where he doesn't have to make reads.

Funny because it's the first entire Griz game I haven't watched  I couldn't watch those young men get torched any longer. It was embarrassing. Going forward will be a difficult course. It seems obvious that offensively we are lost and given the situation with the line it isn't going get better anytime soon. JJ is lost in a system of jibber. It seems obvious that Delaney is convinced he can run the ball to somehow set up a non existent play action pass #-o The defense was as lost in the second half as I've ever seen. Pitiful it was! Personally I hope you do beat them next week and God provides UM with a miracle because that's what it will take going forward for this team. We have some very good players but unfortunately they're not in positions we need them and the dual headed offensive coordinator thing is a bunch of malarkey ](*,) Hey there is an idea! We will give you guys TWO coordinators and you give us one. That seems fair to me. What ya say \:D/
The one lesson that's so difficult to learn is to be happy for someone else when your so damn miserable. I think if your offense can execute you have a good chance to go 5-0. It wouldn't hurt my feelings one bit but regardless I think Montana has way to many pitfalls to be included in any post season talk.

The Poly coach (Walsh) was rough on um in the Missoulian.

Regarding the first half he said "in reality, when you watch what they did on offense, they threw it up -- that was what they had in the first half. If we don't allow them to throw the ball up, they had nothing in the first half." I assume he means um threw it up for grabs and got lucky to come down with it. That's harsh.

Their QB Brown was kinder saying "I think that's the best defense in the league. I mean, North Dakota State had 22 points against them."

I told everyone that MSU's long-storied domination of Cal-Poly would continue. No one believed me though.

Yep. I had a bad feeling about our game against CP as I read through this thread, and it only got worse as I saw what some Cat fans posted on eGriz last week. I hate the taste of crow.
