Montana Western vs. EWU
At least on paper I don't recall seeing a bigger mismatch than this. Looking at the rosters, staffs, etc. it makes me wonder when and why this game was even scheduled?? Okay, money, but this thing can't be healthy for either team. Even Idaho State would be a stretch. Shame on Eastern for even scheduling this...game. And while I'm at it, the Bobcat-Black Hills contest might not be far behind.
There are many more qualified, beatable opponents in the area.

Re: Montana Western vs. EWU
I doubt EWU leaves the starters in for even a full half.
Score Prediction:
EWU: As many points as they want.
Dillon: As many points as EWU wants them to have.

Re: Montana Western vs. EWU
I thought it was bad when ISU played them, this is ridiculous. If screecher beagle is reading this, then I think Western only wins by a field goal.
Geezer. Part Bionic,. Part Iconic

Re: Montana Western vs. EWU
Looking for anything I can find to help Western and taking a page out of the Arkansas State Fan Handbook, the following should be noted:
Dillon Altitude 5,240' vs. Cheney-2,352'= minus 2,888'. Has to be good for the boys from Dillon on a going forward molecular basis.
Expected UV 6 out of 12. Can't hurt, I guess
Pollen count 7.70 out of 12
Visibility 10 miles???
Temp 72 degrees...heat index 77 degrees. Again????
Dew point 50 degrees so no fog. That might not help
PM 2.5 ("good" it says). So...that's good.
Barometric pressure 29.6. Probably much better than the Bulldogs OC's blood pressure.
Zero % chance of rain...again, not helpful
When you look at the Western roster and see 76 kids from Montana and some from tiny places like Valier, Clancey, Charlo, Twin Bridges, Richey and Ronan you gotta be hoping for the Bulldogs.
PS there is one guy listed from Cheney. Spy?

Re: Montana Western vs. EWU
This game is definitely a mismatch, hate seeing it on the schedule...
Nothing against Western, but this game should not have been scheduled. With another 12 game year, it looked like a schedule filler, and we have a tough time bringing in FCS teams for a non-conference home/home, where EWU gets the first home game.
I'd be shocked if EWU's starters play past half time and I think a lot of starters won't even play period.
Good luck to the Cats this Saturday, should be a good game...

Re: Montana Western vs. EWU
I watched the first three quarters of this game and I'm taking back my "this game defies the laws of nature" attitude. Western fought like hell! They DID NOT back down. They STOOD THEIR GROUND!! The score could have been uglier, but I'm tipping my hat to the Bulldogs and their staff.
