Even a coue of those are questionable IMO.
I don't want to get dragged into this discussion again. We've already debated this ad nauseam, and I guess we'll just have to agree to disagree. I'll just say that I think the rumors of their demise are greatly exaggerated. I don't think the probation/scholarship reductions will be damaging to their program to a significant degree. I will agree with you that the rise of the programs at MSU and EWU have had, and will continue to have, an impact on UM. I don't think they'll ever again go on a run like they did from 1993-2009, but I believe they will continue to be a perennial contender for BSC titles/playoff berths and even NC.

I do know that the reduction in scholarships has caused them to reduce offers made and previously accepted by at least one recruit. That recruit is now entertaining other offers.

Interesting, but I'm not surprised. Something has to give. It's like building a home. If you cut 4/63rds of the materials budget, you end up with less house. In this case the sub-contractor has decided to work on another house due to a cut in pay.

I didn't see anyone predicting their demise, maybe I missed something. My post above just predicted they go 1 and 4 in those 5 brutal road games. Will be tough for them to make the playoffs, probably a bubble team. I could be wrong, but that's my guess. I had them at 9 and 3 last year... Predicting 7-5 in 2014, mainly due to the schedule and coaching. And no, they won't be contending for a NC anytime soon, IMO.

I will say they go 5-0. You have to be wise about this. This way if they go 0-5, they make themselves look bad. If you say 1-4 and they win all of them, they made you look bad.

Sept. 13 W South Dakota
Sept. 20 L at North Dakota State
Sept. 27 W Northern Colorado* (Homecoming)
Oct. 4 W at North Dakota*

Nov. 1 W Sacramento State* (Military Appreciation Day)
Nov. 8 L at Eastern Washington*

Really solid schedule overall and should be a good test for them. Two trips to North Dakota in three weeks could be difficult.
