Don't let this distract you from the fact that the griz blew a 22-0 lead.

He has posted over there so has:
Mike Brown - former NBA head coach
Milton Burle,
Mel Brooks
Marlon Brando
Michael Buble
and last but not least
Michael Bolton
So I ask you. What is your favorite Michael Bolton song?
Hmm. I don't, I don't know. I mean, I guess, I sorta like 'em all.
That's why I feel the exact same way. But it must be twice as hard for you, being having the same name as him. I celebrate the guy's entire catalogue. Anyway, let's get down to business.
Maroonblood.com is the only Griz board that was "classy" enough to give cat fans their own forum. (That might change now that its owned by an NDSU fan)

I think it happens more often than you would think. When I played for the Cats, each year 2-4 incoming freshmen (granted mostly walk-ons or partial scholarships guys) would quit during 2-a-days. My freshman year a full scholarship kid from Miles City left camp in the middle of the night!TomCat88 wrote:College football isn't for everyone, but it's rare for someone to drop college football just a few days into it.

I don't recall any big names bailing in camp since a kid from Big Sandy (Ophus) back in about 2004. Ophus was a stud on full ride. 6-4, 235 coming out of HS and slated to play DE. He just got sick of playing, like Horner. Quit a few days into camp. The Butcher wrote:I think it happens more often than you would think. I agree, you usually don't lose the high-profile recruits to this phenomenon. I don't know the kid from Adam, but I wish him well and hope that he's able to find some other path that will allow him to be successful. However, this brings to the point that the vast majority of people out there don't really understand the commitment required to play college football, especially at the of FCS or FBS level. In addition, for the vast majority of freshman, it is an eye-opening experience because you truly can be a boy amongst men. I just don't know of a way to fully prepare a high school recruit for fall camp. I know when I played, I went to Missoula in July prior to actually reporting and stayed with an upperclassman from my high school. We went into the weight room were promptly witnessed one of the D lineman throw up a bench of over 400 pounds. Then, throw in the issues of being away from home and the 24/7 of fall camp and it is easy to get into a funk. Again, I wish him the best but I really believe had he made it through two a days, he may have gotten a better picture of what playing is actually like and also been able to read some of the benefits of being able to play. The Butcher wrote:I think it happens more often than you would think. Back when Joe Glenn was coaching in Missoula, he called me and asked if I would take a day and meet with a high-profile recruit and his father. The recruit was the first one in his family to attend college and Joe felt that working with just an average person might help explain what it is like to be a student/athlete. So I took the son and father and another ex-player on trip down the Missouri and was able to moderately explain the expectations and the life of being a college football player. For instance, the father had no concept of not going to school like in the high school where you went from 8 a.m. until 3 p.m. I'd like to think that we did some good as he made it through and played for 4 years and obtained a degree. In my talk with him we were frank about the realities of being a player at the same time we tempered it with been able to partake in something that very few are able to do. I don't care which team he played for, being able to run out onto the field representing your University is a life altering experience. I was never a star by any means, but I was able to play and obtained a degree all the while making friends with some incredible people. It is tough, but making it through that first fall camp became worth it in the end.
