I watched a special on CBS about the Arkansas football team. The crew followed them around last year, and towards the end after Smith new he was fired he thanked all his players, staff, and fans. He then went on to tell CBS that he would be retained in some sort of consulting capacity for the Arkansas football team. I thought that he went to Arkansas originally because the money was greater than Weber, and he was in some sort of financial collapse? Then when he said he would be retained at Arkansas, you would have to figure that it would pay more than Fort Lewis? I guess the only sense I can make out of his last two years is the fact that he really needs money, and he apparantly lied about Arkansas wanting to retain him? Confusing to say the least.

Does anybody know what happened to Earl Solomonson after he was fired from MSU? Did he ever coach again?

I'd heard he was in Estes Park, CO, but that was about 6 years ago.
