Tuff Harris

Post by Cat-theotherwhitemeat » Tue Aug 07, 2007 8:48 am

In case anyone is interested in a Montana boy. Tuff is doing great in Miami and working his tail off. He's been moved from cornerback to Safety. I think this is a great move for him and gives him a better chance of making the final roster.

He is currently 3rd on the depth chart.

Good for Tuff. Not only good to see a MT boy make it, but it always helps when kids from the Big Sky can go onto the next level. Always helps the next wave of players.

He'll need to win his spot by being great on special teams regardless of onfield position.

Actually, corner might have been better simply because of nickel and dime packages.

The NFL makes their final cuts tomorrow (down to 53). As of now, Tuff is still on the team. Two other safties have already been cut. He's had several tackles this preseason.

My fingers are crossed for Tuff.

Nope, that was taken directly from ESPN. unless there's copyright issues, then it was given to me by Alphagriz.

Not to nitpick, but it makes you look a lot higher when you kick your feet back up like that (similiar to high jumpers and how they look). I know the guy can jump though :) Visually extend his legs down straight and you will see what I mean. Still a good 36-40 inch verticle, but that pic makes it look like 50-60 with legs up.

It's tough (no pun intended) for an undrafted FA to make a roster. From what I've seen, Tuff was probably a very difficult decision for Cam (not-long-for-Miami) Cameron.

That sucks. I thought he'd make the roster. He was one Tuff competitor.

My Cat/Griz rivalry goes completely away after the guys graduate. I root just as much for the UM guys to make the NFL as I do with MSU....in fact all Big Sky players.

I pull for any FCS players to make it into the NFL, Just watched Balark (sp) playing for the cardinals tonight, seems to be doing pretty good.
