No, I am talking about coming into your program in super thin ice due to the NCAA violation, a prior DUI, and a rumored assault charge... and then disobeying a direct order from Hauck regarding speaking with the media... TWICE, and saying really dumb things during those interviews to boot... and THEN you tack on the 2nd DUI. Just seems like this guy has been given quite a bit of preferential treatment, which I guess is the way it goes in college football if you're good enough. Time will tell if he is, or if he even makes it through the season without another screw up given his track record.GrizinWashington wrote:Well, hasn't he already been punished for the other stuff? catatac, I agree. It seems like preferential treatment. I am making no excuses, but I assume his punishment follows the updated code of conduct they put in place after the Wilson thing. If not, and it is preferential, I think it is BS and a horrible precedent being set.catatac wrote:No, I am talking about coming into your program in super thin ice due to the NCAA violation, a prior DUI, and a rumored assault charge... and then disobeying a direct order from Hauck regarding speaking with the media... A question about the UM guidelines, at what point does/did the "zero tolerance" guideline that O'Day set down after Freeman's incidents go away? What Freeman did may have been viewed differently, but he was dismissed for Disorderly Conduct and Quinn gets a DUI and is "suspended" three games. Seems a bit contradictory to me. I guess good luck to him and I hope he pulls his head out of his ass.
http://www.missoulian.com/articles/2007 ... news01.txt"These are serious matters, and it is very disturbing,” UM Athletic Director Jim O'Day said in the statement. “At this point, we are following a zero-tolerance policy, and Qwenton made a bad error in judgment. To that end, he will no longer be a member of the Montana Grizzly football team.”

It seems to me the likelihood of Quinn pulling his head out of his ass is somewhere between slim and none. He has an attitude of superiority and that rules are meant for someone else.coachouert wrote:A question about the UM guidelines, at what point does/did the "zero tolerance" guideline that O'Day set down after Freeman's incidents go away?
