Nervous Monday in Missoula
Or Bozeman for that matter.
Reason being is that the LA cops might figure they have a better chance of questioning some of the UM players than they had a couple months ago.

I know that if I were a cop and I had been looking for a few football players to ask questions, the first day of camp would a good day to do it. Especially if I was pissed that they didn't cooperate the first time my office sent me some 1,000 miles to do just that.HelenaCat95 wrote:Do you know something we don't?
Just sayin'. If everyone gets through Monday without anything popping up people will be breathing easier. That's just the state of things.

I'm not sure why they'd be nervous. The incident occurred in L.A. Quite a ways from Missoula and pretty difficult to be involved unless you were within a 100 miles. I guess I just don't understand what they'd have to fear. If anyone decides to keep their mouths shut to protect a friend there isn't much anyone can do about it. I suppose they could subpoena them and force them to testify in court but that's a long way off.

Yeah, you're right. I guess I'd just be nervous about the whole situation of having an LA cop hanging around. I'm thinking that Hauck would be wondering if Wilson or Freeman has implicated another player.tampa_griz wrote:I'm not sure why they'd be nervous. The incident occurred in L.A. Then again maybe the LA cops have let UM know their work is done in Missoula and with UM players.

I heavily doubt that that Freeman or Wilson have implicated another player present at the scene. That probably would have come out by now. ....the press would've picked up on it. I would imagine that the only thing they want to know is if Wilson might have mentioned something to someone along the lines of "I'm headed home for a bit to take care of the SOB that's beating my aunt".....something like that. And if that happened they can refuse to cooperate. That's their right. I've been there.....not in a situation nearly this serious (and no one was physically hurt or had property damaged/stolen.....it was basically victimless). But a friend of mine was in trouble and the cops had a pretty good idea that I knew something about it. I basically wished them luck in their investigation but that they'd have to do it without my help.....or get a judge to force me to testify.crazycat wrote:Yeah, you're right. Just wondering where you draw that line.
Also I believe they are still looking for the weapon, Maybe sombody had heard somthing, Also I heard at one time (probably rumor) the they came to Montana looking for the gun.
I think that if any griz players know anything they should cooperate. I would say the same for Cat players in this situation. I also feel that if any Cat players have information about the drug issues they should inform also.
College football programs in Montana should not be involved in these issues. If it is illegal I dont want our players involved and if they know somthing they I hope they will cooperate with the law.
I'm sick of this isht and I want clean programs, I believe we are headed in the right direction. Stop trying to whitewash it Tampa. It isnt personal or smack, I want the griz program clean also. And before you reply I agree that you havent had near as many problems as we have but it still looks like you have a problem over there.
I dont want to explain ever again why MSU/UM players are in trouble with the law to my 9 yr old son. He idolizes the Cats and hates (but respects) the griz.

Right again. But I'm thinking more along the lines of the arrested giving up any info they can to get themselves in a better light with the police.tampa_griz wrote:I heavily doubt that that Freeman or Wilson have implicated another player present at the scene.
