I'm not sure how many of you will catch the Emerald Bowl tonight, but I am sitting here at work walking distance from the stadium kicking myself. The weather said rain for today, so I passed on getting tixs for the game (which now appears to be sold out, which is a first for this game).
And then, last night, we had torrential rains and winds that were ripping branches off of trees all over the city (I was literally awakened last night because the winds were so strong that they were noticeably shaking our house -- no joke, it felt like an earthquake), and I laughed at the poor suckers from SoCal and Florida who made the trip to witness a game in that kind of weather.
But I look out the windows right now, and there is a soft glow reflecting off of the buildings in the financial district, there is no wind at all, and not a cloud in the sky. It's perfect weather.
The Emerald Bowl promoters must have done right by the gods of weather this week.
