Appy vs. UM - too bad

Post by torrybruce » Sun Dec 10, 2006 11:53 am

I was really hoping to see a UM vs. Appy championship game. 1) it would have been great for the state of Montana FB if UM was in there and 2) it would have show how good Appy really is and that our game against them wasn't a fluke (I know we lost by 21...very obvious, but we played them the toughest so far of any playoff team, or any team in their league and with a few plays we could have been much closer or won...I truly believe that IMHO). Great season Griz and I really think Appy is going to win the title by 28 points on Friday (though I'm still mad at some of their fans for smacking on my private message board)!!!

What's scary is how good Appy State will be in the future years. Richardson is a Senior, right? I know he got injured but his back up RB is also a Freshman just like their QB. Sounds like they'll have a good 1-2 punch for the next three years.

I didn't vote because I don't want to jinx any team  We let them off the hook when we had them back on their heels (think we did the same thing to Davis when we could have easily run the clock out and went into halftime only down 7-0) but all I can say is I'm looking forward to the championship game. The only negative I saw in Ape State's stats yesterday was they had to throw it 12 times, of course dUMb-ASS had something like 21 completions. Can't wait to see what Moore does with that dipsy doodle crap of UMASS. Should be a good game.

NO!!!! The only vote I'd venture is what is best: The fizzlies suck or FTG.

I'd vote for FTG :P (MODS--this is fact, not opinion nor smack, so as good MSU grads, ensure it remains in College Sports World =D^

I just dont think that UM could have hung with Apps St....but then again i wasnt sure how close the game between Umass and UM would have been..... They just have a tough team and will be tough for years to come because of their outstanding offense. UM would have given a fight, but i just dont think they could have pulled out the W.

I think the Griz D would have kept the game reasonably close through at least three quarters (before too much time on the field took it's toll) but, much like the Mass game, offense would have been insufficient to win.

The way you guys hung with App leads me to believe that a good defense can keep Mass within striking distance and they should be able to produce enough offense to win.

I'm not sure about that. The QB is definitely the real deal and he should break most of the 1-AA records in the book before he's done... but I'm not sure about the supporting cast. I think they graduate a whole boatload of seniors this year...

Great time to be a BOBCAT!
