It was a bad call.
Gato what was your opinion on the motion call against Weber last week?

There was illegal motion in the backfield. The ref stated it was a false start on a line man. I think the penalty was correct, but it's as if the ref said "potato" when he meant "po-tah-toe."

Exactly; the motion was illegal, the referee simply named the wrong guy. I'm pretty sure we've ALL seen that in almost every college & pro football game we watch, no?
2304, are you trying to claim the guy moving toward the line of scrimmage when the ball was snapped WASN'T illegal? Just because the ref gave an incorrect # doesn't change the fact that the correct CALL was made.
If you disagree, you need to be watching games north of the border, not down here in the US of A...

Just one question Gato, have you actually seen the replay?

I have, and it was obvious on every level. Even a level griz fans should be able to understand.

I think it's Cal Poly who is blaming the refs for the Grizzly win. The Cats fans just happen to be talking about it.
I just got off the phone with a friend and we were talking about how the officiating over the whole season has been complete trash. Not just this weekend, and not just I-AA.
There have been so many blown calls, incorrect calls, and complete gaffes that the refs should be embarassed every time they take the field.
Almost makes you wonder if the refs are trying to cover the spread.

Agreed. This is why it's silly to say that any game was decided by one call. There are probably 15-20 blown calls a game and they average out. We only remember the ones that seemed to screw our side.
