Seattle University Back to D-1!?

Post by mslacat » Wed Oct 25, 2006 4:43 pm

It appears Seattle University may be on the verge of moving back up to NCAA D-1. They dropped down to D-2 in 1980. It appears they are eyeing jumping right to the WCC.

Seattle
E. Washington
Weber
Montana
Montana State
Idaho State
Northern Arizona
North Dackota,
North Dakota State

I could live with that conference

But Mcat, as you likely are aware, Seattle U does not play football, so there is little chance of having them in a conference with current BSC teams.

Doesn't Seattle, Pepperdine, St. Mary's, Gonzaga, Portland, etc. make a lot more sense. Small private schools like to be in conferences with other small private schools.

Good to see Seattle's going to the WCC.
