It's crazy to think how much change has taken place over such a short period of time. Five years ago around this time of year, Danny Sprinkle signed Xavier Bishop as his first big recruit and at the time he still had to sit out a year before being able to play for MSU. Today, playing for three or four or maybe even five different schools over the course of an athlete's career is going to become the norm rather than a rare exception due to unusual circumstances.

It’s funny, I thought there would be no way a player could beat Tyler Bruggman playing football at five different colleges, but, technically, Clifton McDowell will have played football at six. One of those teams McDowell played at being just a few Springs games though. With these new rules, I think the skies the limit on the number of teams a player might go to. Play in the Fall, transfer in the Spring, bail on that Spring team, transfer to a new school for the Fall, play in the Fall, transfer again in the Spring, etc., etc. Who will be the first player to make it to seven teams or has it already been done?
