USU was doing fine until they all got in foul trouble and Danny had to go deep into his bench. The deep bench guys thought they would be like Strap Purl in Hoosiers when they should have been given direct orders not to shoot. Then Purdue hit everything they chucked at the rim. They probably won't play that well again in this tournament...but they still might win it.

Sure hated to see Brown's college career end like that. The basketball gods sure weren't on Utah State's side today.

Speculation on Aggie board is that Danny is one and done in Logan, and will become a Husky in the relative near future. He apparently was also offered a rather large bump in pay to stay put as well. A lot of Utah State fans are holding their breath waiting to see what happens. If Logie has another season or two like this it won't be too long until other colleges come sniffing around Bozeman again, but here's to a quiet offseason where our team stays intact and we are able to grab a guy or two from the portal who will make an impact for next season!!

I think MSU would have preferred taking the big payday that would have come with a win over Grambling. Just getting to the dance is great but I’d like to see a win someday too.

Not to me...that is absolutely life changing money (I'm seeing $3-4mil/year). He'd be crazy to say no simply because he'd only been at USU for one year. Statistically it'll be almost impossible for him to replicate what he did this year at USU again. These guys have to strike while their stock is high.

Now that it is so easy for players to go "one & done" multiple times during their careers, I can't blame coaches for thinking the same way. Danny's stock will never be higher than it is right now, and money aside if he wants to win a national championship it's a lot more likely to happen in the Big 10 than it is in the Mountain West. Will be interesting to see how many Utah State players end up in Seattle next year, I'm assuming at least Great will follow him there.
