TV for Texas Tech game
I presume the Texas Tech game will be available on Pluto TV? Is that pretty much the only option for watching it?

Re: TV for Texas Tech game
I'm not sure it will be on Pluto because Pluto is only for conference type games. I think we can hope for ESPN 3 or Fox Soutwest. Maybe Texas Tech has a regular network affiliation that they will link up with Pluto or even SWX. But don't count on Pluto.

Just checked the DirecTv guide, this game is scheduled to be aired on ROOT Sports Northwest channel 687. At least that's what the guide shows today.

I'll probably be using https://www.reddit.com/r/CFBStreams/
I'd join the discord if you plan on doing that too as Reddit is taking down a lot of these subreddits.

It's on ROOT Sports Northwest. Same channel that carries the Cat griz game every year. Easy access!

Not quite. But it'll give you access to links for any stream.RickRund wrote: ↑Tue Aug 20, 2019 9:55 pmSo reddit is sort of like twitter but they stream video?????Danster21 wrote: ↑Tue Aug 20, 2019 7:42 pmI'll probably be using https://www.reddit.com/r/CFBStreams/

Don't let this distract you from the fact that the griz blew a 22-0 lead.

Re: TV for Texas Tech game
Easy for some maybe but in my area the only way I can find, to get Root, is through DirecTV. Last year I could get it on DirecTV NOW but it doesn't appear to be available there this year. As a matter of fact it's doesn't appear to be available on any streaming service I can find and since I am unwilling to go satellite TV, Root doesn't look like an option.
If there are other options to get Root I would love to hear them since that is what Cat/griz is on.

True, not everyone has DirecTv. I just meant most sports bars do carry DirecTv so most people have that option, at least.Long Time Cat wrote: ↑Wed Aug 21, 2019 7:24 amEasy for some maybe but in my area the only way I can find, to get Root, is through DirecTV. Are you sure? I was under the impression it was only on Fox Southwest....which leaves me SOL, since I have Dish and Fox regional channels are in a dispute with Dish. If it's on ROOT, then I have a fighting chance to watch at home.

Reddit is more like on line forums (this board is an example) but it has a lot of different subs ( sub forums with different topics) it has subs to find online streams but reddit admins may be shutting them down soon (the online streams subs)RickRund wrote: ↑Tue Aug 20, 2019 9:55 pmSo reddit is sort of like twitter but they stream video?????Danster21 wrote: ↑Tue Aug 20, 2019 7:42 pmI'll probably be using https://www.reddit.com/r/CFBStreams/

Re: TV for Texas Tech game
So just to make sure I'm clear on this, you're saying that it will be carried by the same Root Sports that has been carrying BSC games for several years now, including the Cat-Griz game. So it would also be available on Spectrum cable TV. I checked my Spectrum program guide, but it doesn't have any listings that far in advance yet. Thanks for the info.91catAlum wrote: ↑Wed Aug 21, 2019 7:57 amAccording to my DirecTv guide, yes it's on 687 ROOT Sports Northwest.HelenaCat95 wrote: ↑Wed Aug 21, 2019 7:33 amAre you sure? Excellent! Thanks. I'm just hoping that it's not "blacked out" for some reason on Dish due to their dispute.91catAlum wrote: ↑Wed Aug 21, 2019 7:57 amAccording to my DirecTv guide, yes it's on 687 ROOT Sports Northwest.HelenaCat95 wrote: ↑Wed Aug 21, 2019 7:33 amAre you sure? At least it's on and with the right Spectrum package you can get it at home. I hate going to a bar to watch the Cats but will do it if I have to since I no longer have cable. If Root hasn't changed since last year, there is no way to possibly stream it which sucks.

Re: TV for Texas Tech game
Correct. I mean I can't guarantee the game will actually be aired 10 days from now, but I can guarantee that the game is currently displayed on the DirecTv guide on channel 687, ROOT, when I pan out 10 days.John K wrote: ↑Wed Aug 21, 2019 8:13 amSo just to make sure I'm clear on this, you're saying that it will be carried by the same Root Sports that has been carrying BSC games for several years now, including the Cat-Griz game. Perhaps someone else here with DirecTv can confirm this for everyone.

I know last year, At&t Watch TV, Root games were on the Audience channel and it looks to be the same still.Mtcatfan wrote: ↑Wed Aug 21, 2019 8:27 amAt least it's on and with the right Spectrum package you can get it at home.
