Re: Stadium East side
Has the painting begun? When finished, can someone post a picture? I need something to get the previous eyesore out of my mind.

Hell yes!!!! Best news I have read in a long time. Looking at those old rusted stands always drove me nuts.

That picture really shows just how much this was needed. Seeing the old vs new stands is pretty drastic.

That looks very nice! It will be interesting how well it wears going forward, but that was a much needed improvement for sure. If they can get 10+ years on that new paint they may not need to replace the East side stands. Just touch it up along with the turf every 10-12 years or so.

Properly maintained they can last indifinately. Perfect height to add a second deck over the top.CARDIAC_CATS wrote: ↑Sat Jul 27, 2019 11:28 amThat looks very nice! Yeah it would be nice to skip the East Side replacement Phase and put it to use on second deck/boxes. 2 for 1 dealMr Lisle wrote: ↑Sat Jul 27, 2019 12:22 pmProperly maintained they can last indifinately. Re: Stadium East side
The contrast of the east side in the pic is amazing! Its probably just me, but I am concerned about having enough seating since the north end zone was cut back to 2000 seats, and we will have four dissimilar sides of seating. I do recognize though that the need for the boxes has been in the queue longer and is a more immediate need than more seating for the general public.CARDIAC_CATS wrote: ↑Sat Jul 27, 2019 12:35 pmYeah it would be nice to skip the East Side replacement Phase and put it to use on second deck/boxes. 2 for 1 dealMr Lisle wrote: ↑Sat Jul 27, 2019 12:22 pmProperly maintained they can last indifinately. That $100K was extremely well spent. Bravo

Re: Stadium East side
Looks like diamond plate stair treads were added too, that’s going to look sharp. I haven’t been in that section in a while but it was plenty slippery in 2004.

Re: Stadium East side
Slippery and the bottom steps were in really poor shape, angled downward and full of rust holes. I’d like to see a railing up the middle of the steps, but I doubt that’s going to happen. Every year, I catch people slipping and falling.
