which is better?

Post by allcat » Fri Dec 08, 2017 7:55 am

I've had Alexa from Amazon for a while and I like it.
I just bought a google home because I got a shopping credit from Walmart for the cost of the google.
I just asked them what the weather was. Google was a balmy 21. Alexa was a chilly 14. Which one of these is fake news?

I've had an Alexa for a long time. Really like it. Last week I added an Echo Dot to the basement and we can now intercom between upstairs and downstairs. Pretty cool.

I have an echo, a dot in the bedroom and a tap that we can take outside. The only reason I got the google was it was essentially free. I just though it interesting that they had different temps.

They probably pulled the tempature from different weather stations.

If you are in the Gallatin county, that could be the airport, downtown, or the MSU campus. Each one has a weather station.

If could also vary due to which web site it pulls it weather from.

Weather.com vs accuweather.com vs underground.com

Yea I figured they were from different sites. The 7 degrees of difference is what gave me pause.
