Yep love them.

Got about 10 in my fridge and 2 special edition ones from Blackfoot.

What's your favorite so far?

Honestly I don't have one yet- any recommendations?
Any chance you can get Trinity Brewing out of Colorado? They produce a ton.

I haven't seen any but doesn't mean they aren't here. Had a solid sour at Perry Street Brewery last night. Delicious!!!
Where are they out of?

Have you had "love child" yet?

So I've been using BN as a reference to try new beers, and the idea of a Bourbon Barrel really perked my interest. Thanks for the tip!

I was in Denver this week and tried a New Holland Dragon's Milk Bourbon Barrel stout.

And it was absolute proof that God loves us and wants us to enjoy life.

One of my favorite spots here in SLC is 'The Bayou' - great Cajun food and 'Beervana' - amazing beer selection, and their app shows they have the Anderson Valley Bourbon Barrel Stout - that's next.

Oh yes, in fact I have two left from a four pack of Dragons Milk... Real good stuff. The Anderson Valley is about the only one I have been able to find on a regular basis.

Heard on the Beer Street that Big Sky Brewing is going to release some sort of Grizzly themed beer, With the blessings of the U of M. MSU is looking for a Brewery to do the same for a Bobcat Branded beer, and that no Brewery in Bozeman has the capacity to do what they want, so I have heard that they approached Kettlehouse Brewing in Missoula to see if it would be feasible. The MSU and Kettlehouse part is still conjecture, But I'm pretty sure the Griz Whiz is a go.

Speaking of beer, next month at the Lewis and Clark Brewery don't forget to check out Reel Big Fish playing their classic 1995 hit "Beer".

Lewis and Clark just had a major expansion and has plans to bring in some great music. Thursday they have a free tony furtado show. They have reel big fish and wreckless kelly coming up and I've heard rumors of everclear.

I think they have hopes to team up with Big Sky and/or Kettlehouse for some big concerts.

The kettlehouse Amphitheater is owned by Logjam Productions, the same people who own Wilma and Top hat. Kettlehouse leases the property to them. Logjam productions is essentially in a war with the Knitting Factory promotions out of Spokane, which books for big Sky Brewing. It is highly unlikely that Lewis and Clark will even get a toe in the door with these folks, as the kettlehouse Amphitheater will be THE premier outdoor concert venue for years to come in Montana. They are absolutely going to nail the A grade acts, where everyone else will get the B and C grade shows. At best Lewis and Clark may get some activity with the Knitting factory, but it wont be much.

So I can't get enough of Goses. Do any breweries in Montana brew their own?

So best way I can describe it is it's a German style sour/salty low alcoholic beer. I'm generally not a fan of sour beers but these are different. They are normally like 4.5 %. A local brewery markets theirs as a recovery drink because of the salt/electrolytes. Very refreshing. Sierra Nevada brews one- think it's called Orta Vez. I've seen it in bottles in our grocery stores. I'm starting to notice more popping up in the cooler isle. I picked up on called El Gose from Avery Brewing in Boulder, CO. It was brewed with lime and sea salt- it was pretty good but not my favorite I've tasted. I'm still new at trying them, so I have very few I could recommend.

Tamarack is owned by Canadians. Much rather approach the gal who beat the damn Taverns Association with their own protectionist anti free trade practices and the Flathead Lake Brewery in Bigfork/Woods Bay even if she's from Chicago.

While at Jack and Dan's for the BOBCAT Victory party we saw an ad for big sky brewery Ivan the Terrible, whiskey barrel..... Stopped at Wines and More and bought a bottle... Tried hard to finish it, big bottle, but that is the most rotten tasting "stuff" I have ever drank. I now know where they got the name Terrible!!!

I'm only about 3 months late to the party. Draught Works in Missoula makes a Blood Orange Gose in cans that you can get anywhere around the state I think. It's not a great representation of the style as it is lacking some of the saltyness and other interesting characteristics of a great Gose, but as an introduction to the style it's not bad.

BTW it rhymes with Rosa or pronounced "Goes - Uh" but when you say it that way most people look at you like you have two heads.
