Re: Ricketts commits
Finally some good news about Bobcat men's basketball. Happy about this commitment-hoping for a couple more.

Re: Ricketts commits
Looks like a little "protection" for our outside shooters. Another one will need to be guarded. ..

Welcome Ladan! My son is quite pleased, you have helped at a basketball camp he attends each year.

Re: Ricketts commits
I'm thrilled with this signing, I love Ladan's game and how it fits in with our scheme. I do have a quick question and it is 100% because I am out of touch with the in-state basketball scene and nothing more. But why did Fish not offer Ricketts out of high school? In the Bobcats backyard and it sounded like he had a pretty good high school career. Did he grow a little bit at JC? Did he work on his shooting and developed his range there that he didn't have in Livingston? Again, just curious.....

Good question on why he was not recruited out of high school. No matter, Fish will find a way to make him a poorer player than he probably could be. He's shown he can do that with players in the past. Still can't believe he was kept on for another year. Watch the attendance drop even further during almost for certain another losing season.

Really can't blame Fish, but probably wasn't recruited out of high school because he was good but not a great high school player. Hopefully he won't be the "on the team" Montana practice player that gets a few minutes if they happen to get a big lead.bobcats35 wrote:Good question on why he was not recruited out of high school. With his shooting prowess, he will be on the floor to help spread defenses. Other than Hall and Frey, we had no shooters on the team. Fish is working to open up the defenses and have more ball movement. This kid fits into that strategy well.
While registering my vehicles the assessor stated "I have had both Cat and Griz students and alums work for me and the Griz end up working under the direction of the Cats."
