Yes, the kid from Seattle Pacific was a big pick up. Game ready recruit.

DeCurie is doing a great job with that program. Good for him. We just need to do even better. I don’t want the Cats to dominate the Big Sky because others are down. I want us to outperform in a great league.

mslacat wrote:I tweeted this the other day but 6-10 C Ethan Steinbronn from Little Priest Tribal College JC who the Bobcats were recruiting before he signed with Little Rock University has asked for a release from his LOI and could be on the market again. I believe Steinbronn was down MSU's list (as well as a few other schools) a few notches when Little Rock asked him in for a visit and offered him. I think as it now stands he would be at the top of MSU's list if he was still available. No word on if they will grant him a release or idf the Bobcats would be interested. Steinbronn averaged 16.1 points, 8.7 rebounds, 2 blocks and shot 52.9% from the field, 28.2% from 3 point range and 72.4% from the free-throw line. Little Priest was 14-17 last season.
BTW Steinbronn got a release from Little Rock and then signed with D-2 Pittsburgh State

No "h" on the end of Pittsburg State. It's in Pittsburg, Kansas rather than Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania ;)

Looks like Kirby has put on a decent amount of muscle, not huge by any means but good weight gain for his frame. I am optimistic about him contributing this year.....

Take a look at Jared Martin (right side, blonde) he looks like he is ready for the MMA. Not built like your typical Freshman

All of the guys you see with the exception of Kirby are the new recruits. Fish wanted to pull the new guys in a week in front of the veterans so he could give them a little extra attention. Coaches will be heading out in about a week for the important 1st round of summer recruiting AAU tourney, so it makes sense.

If you are not reading the" Men's 2019 Basketball Recruiting" thread go to this link to read about a possibly strong candidate that may fill the Bobcats open scholarship. His name is Trey Anderson and he is a 6-7 sg/sf/pf prospect out of San Diego California. There was talk he was going to a prep school next year so I assumed he was a 2019 recruit, but it turns out that that when the Bobcats offered him this past Monday it was for the 2018 season. Follow this link for some info I posted on Mr. Anderson earlier this week in the 2019 recruiting thread.
