MBB at EWU

Post by orsalak » Sat Jan 11, 2014 4:18 pm

I have been ok at calling the outcomes so far this year. I am having a hard time picking even a winner in this matchup. I think we lose by 5. But I am not confident in that.

If EWU keeps hitting 3's at this rate we'll be lucky to keep it within 50. Can't believe how many they've hit, from everywhere.

Yeah-EWU not missing from anywhere. If we keep within 20 we'll be doing good at this rate.

43-36 at the half after a nice run by MSU to end the half. They have a shot...also, the MSU women came from 10 behind in the second half to beat EWU earlier. Nice job to them!

And quickly as that, MSU ties it up within the first 3 minutes of the second half. Impressive comeback but can they keep it up....

Switched over to the women's game and watched them go on a 15-2 run and end up winning by 4. Brumwell with 24 (or something like that). Great finish. Then see the men have come back and now have a lead. EWU's internet broadcast is really good-just turn down the homer announcer. Looks like the refs are being very ticky tack against us...but that's my only complaint at the moment.

Barely 50% from the free throw line is just not gonna cut it.

Just foul Egwuonwu. It's as good as a turnover.

Eagles by 2 with 18.2 left, Cats ball. Let's see what we got.

Cats go cold from the line and the field down the stretch and blow it. Totally blew this one after a great comeback. Missed opportunity. Just make your stupid free throws and you win.

Cats lose 77-72. Hit a few more of those free throws in the middle part of the 2nd half when we had the lead and this one goes the other way I think. Still a solid game and great job coming back from the hot start by EWU.

Well at least they fought back and stayed in it. Can't win 'em all.

Our year-long motto apparently.

Don't let this distract you from the fact that the griz blew a 22-0 lead.

In football, undefeated teams can happen. In basketball, the season is long enough to make it pretty unlikely. One loss in January doesn't kill the season. That's what six losses in February does.

I'm sticking to my moderate position that February and March will tell the story of this season.
