MSU continues to fill its open roster spots with high school players. Those hoping for a bunch of transfer portal guys to be signed after Spring Ball are likely going to be disappointed.

The TD to int ratio is crazy as is the completion percentage. Received all kinds of accolades after the 2023 season.Cataholic wrote: ↑Sun Feb 04, 2024 4:18 pmThis kid is impressive. 3 star rating. But the eye openers are his stats and measurables. 6’2” with 4.5 speed. Decent student with a 3.6 GPA.

The stats back it up: Superales completed 312-of-413 (76%) passes this season for 3,783 yards (9.2 ypa) and 44 touchdowns and rushed 122 times for 797 yards (6.5) and eight touchdowns. Some of those were designed runs, but Superales dazzled most when he went off script, escaping the pocket and making defenders miss. It’s something he picked up from watching Wood.

Re: Daveon Superales commits
He had Woods and another WR that committed to Oregon State. I’m guessing that’s one of the reasons why despite the great numbers, not a lot of offers. It can be hard to tell if the QB is a product of the talent around him, vice versa, or a mixture.

Re: Daveon Superales commits
I think this is an example of a kid that the Cats aren't signing a few years back as he'd be going FBS. As Vigen stated, one tiny benefit of all the NIL\TP mess is that MSU is able to sign a higher caliber of players coming out of HS.

It looks like his only other published offer was from NAIA, eastern oregon. I assumed he was a be a partial scholarship/preferred walk on for us.

Re: Daveon Superales commits
His is listed as 6-0, 6-1, 6-2 in three different places. His team lost 31-6, so maybe he didn’t play well in that game. It’s interesting that he had so few offers despite all that.BelligerentBobcat wrote: ↑Mon Feb 05, 2024 9:56 amHe had Woods and another WR that committed to Oregon State. Minus the 2 interceptions, his stats in that game look decent. Takes a team.TomCat88 wrote: ↑Mon Feb 05, 2024 5:02 pmHis is listed as 6-0, 6-1, 6-2 in three different places. Re: Daveon Superales commits
Hmmm, I thought I read he was a three star, which I thought meant he had several offers, I'm probably wrong.
