I think there should be a way to just admire something somebody's good at. If they're a 4.0 mechanical engineering student, nobody is knocking them for that because it doesn't help them catch or block or tackle better. I think it's fun to know that somebody is really good at basketball or bowling or chess, because that does say a little bit about their athletic or competitive abilities. Correct, he's not going to be a switch-kicker, and nobody cares about that. But it shows he's got some athleticism and probably a fair amount of determination, which does translate.AFCAT wrote: ↑Tue Feb 06, 2024 1:47 pmI highlighted the best response. Just admire the skill. Not everything needs to be criticized or read into. This isn't a thread on kicking or kickers, just random stuff to keep people interested in Bobcat football during the offseason. .coloradocat wrote: ↑Tue Feb 06, 2024 1:43 pmThis is the the most pathetic argument online. OP posts something, multiple people react critically in the context of the site where the post is made, OP gets defensive and insults the audience on the site.AFCAT wrote: ↑Tue Feb 06, 2024 1:14 pmMy point was that we can admire his skill, a skill that most people don't have. I don't see a lot of kickers, or wide receivers that also kick, doing that sort of thing. I doubt most people that post here could even hit a 20 yard field goal with their dominant leg. BN is a funny place these days. Just posting the most innocent stuff gets taken out of context.
Yes, it was kind of cool, but what did you expect people to say? The responses were made in the context of the team's struggles last year.

A switch-kicker might be useful on onside kicks

Re: Off Season random stuff 2024
A lot of missed kicks happen because of the snapper or holder. Overall it's probably better to get as good as possible with one leg and have the battery practice every thing on the same side all the time than to have everyone do things differently depending on which side of the field the ball is on

MSU has at least seven GPOY awards on the team. Rollins, Coon (2), Mellott, Steel, Dowler, Marsh…others?

Think about the fun you could have with an ambidextrous kicker during onside kicks

I apologize for not remembering names, but I ran into one of the Texan players at the airport in Salt Lake City. On my way to one of our playoff games I believe at Sam Houston. Nonetheless, he couldn’t say enough good things about denarius. The gentleman was Samoan and knew a couple of the players of Samoan descent that were playing for Montana State, and was excited about that.… No point to my story other than it was fun conversation with the gentleman and his wife.

Fairly certain that hasn’t been updated in at least 5-6 years. He was already here under Choate for a couple years.Montanabob wrote: ↑Wed Feb 07, 2024 1:40 pmFrom his LinkedIN profile (any interest in getting him here?):kwcat wrote: ↑Wed Feb 07, 2024 12:40 amI apologize for not remembering names, but I ran into one of the Texan players at the airport in Salt Lake City. Has anyone seen any vids or heard any reports of anything coming out of Winter Conditioning? I've seen several other teams, 2024 Bobcat opponents posting stuff but haven't heard a peep from MSU.
Great time to be a BOBCAT!
