My divorce was a long overdue bitchectomy. A lot of stress suddenly gone after I said I wanted out.kennethnoisewater wrote: ↑Mon Mar 11, 2024 12:24 pmOh wow, that's a lot to deal with. The stress of that court case and the stress of a divorce--along with the usual stress of being a college football coach--has to be brutal. I personally didn't like him the last year or two, but after hearing all of this I'm definitely pulling for him to stay ahead of this and not let it derail his whole professional life.blueandgoldblitz wrote: ↑Mon Mar 11, 2024 12:16 pmI was looking into the case records of his DUI to see if that had been settled and noticed that he had a civil case back around Cat/Griz that states that he got divorced. The DUI was 100% his fault but I don't wish divorce on anyone.kennethnoisewater wrote: ↑Mon Mar 11, 2024 11:22 amI hope he gets everything in order. Maybe he has to go down a level for a while, but I think he's certainly talented enough to be in the football business if he wants to go through that grind. I really hope that all ends well with the guy. He was a little cocky, but yet to be in that position you have to have an aggressive attitude, but I think he just let it get a little over and above. Maybe some of his issues personally were spilling into his coaching and hopefully he will come out of it a better coach. Good luck to him. As a lot of people say once a cat always a cat. GO cats.

I mean, divorces are expensive because they're totally worth it. I just don't wish going through a divorce on anyone. I've seen more than a couple and it doesn't seem fun while going through it, for sure.hokeyfine wrote: ↑Tue Mar 12, 2024 6:03 amMy divorce was a long overdue bitchectomy. My divorce in 1980 was a great diet. I think I lost close to 50#...

I gained weight after mine but then dated a covert narcissist and lost the ten I gained plus another ten. I got out so easy, you should see her previous two boyfriends!

Good for him! He was not my favorite and he made a mistake but I would never want someone to lose their livelihood in the process. Everyone deserves a second chance.

I’m glad he got a second chance as well. My question. Is he still here if he doesn’t get the DUI? I think he probably is! Vigen is pretty loyal, and the offense was quite good, except for some real head scratchers at times. But I’m guessing without the DUI he keeps him on staff.

Yeah, his exit was weird. It definitely seems like Akron offered him the job without doing any background checks or talking to anyone near the program. Then they finally did and he didn't have the job any more.BelligerentBobcat wrote: ↑Fri May 10, 2024 9:56 amHe wasn’t pushed out.Long Time Cat wrote: ↑Fri May 10, 2024 8:13 amI’m glad he got a second chance as well. He'd definitely still be here, pending resolution of his case, if Akron had better due diligence.

I know nothing, so I'm not trying to be argumentative here. But do we know he wasn't asked to find other opportunities? I've offered people the opportunity to resign so they could save face. I guess I'd like to think Vigen, even as loyal as he is, would have wanted to part ways with the distraction.BelligerentBobcat wrote: ↑Fri May 10, 2024 9:56 amHe wasn’t pushed out.Long Time Cat wrote: ↑Fri May 10, 2024 8:13 amI’m glad he got a second chance as well. That’s my thought. Which is why I phrased the question the way I did. I do think he was pushed out, but given a way to exit gracefully.kennethnoisewater wrote: ↑Fri May 10, 2024 10:27 amI know nothing, so I'm not trying to be argumentative here. Personally I find it hard to believe this was the case when MSU's other coordinator was not offered the same opportunity a few weeks prior.Long Time Cat wrote: ↑Fri May 10, 2024 8:05 pmThat’s my thought. Even if he wasn't pressured or given a chance to save face, you have to figure after a DUI and a divorce he may have felt like a fresh start and change of scenery would help him put everything in the rearview mirror and move forward.Long Time Cat wrote: ↑Fri May 10, 2024 8:05 pmThat’s my thought. Weirdos, celebrating someone’s personal issues because their football team did not score enough.

I don't think anyone here is upset that MSU didn't score enough. They were the #1 scoring team in all of FCS last year until falling behind Davidson by 0.1 PPG after the playoff game.Section101 wrote: ↑Sat May 11, 2024 9:37 pmWeirdos, celebrating someone’s personal issues because their football team did not score enough.

Ok, so still did not score enough and still celebrating someone’s personal issues.
