Vince? Poor choice.
Okay, I had to look that up. Sorry. I'm not current on all the scandals.

The second signing period for high school players starts next Wednesday. Just looking at the current offers, I wouldn't expect more than handful of new signees. Looks like the Cats are still interested in high school defensive backs, a kicker, and maybe a receiver. There also looks to be also some interest in a quarterback but an offer hasn't been announced publicly yet.

I haven't seen much on the transfer side of things. There was an offer to a linebacker transfer out of Washington but he ended up signing with Reno. Obviously, transfers can announce a commitment and sign at any time, so nothing to worry about yet but we won't see them at Spring Ball.
Who do think might be leaning towards MSU?
The young man that was offered yesterday, Seth Johnson. I think Williams is leaning toward ULM. I have no idea what Boyd is thinking. I think Gardner goes to Eastern but I don't know if he has come on a visit yet and what kind of an offer he has. I would think Aaron Lee is just a PWO offer but I don't know that for a fact. I really don't know what the coaches are seeing in Lee but I'm not a great evaluator of talent. The rest of the known offers are September or older, so I have a feeling they aren't really on the board any longer.
The coaches have been paying more attention to Daveon Superales, a QB out of Puyallup. Keeton started following him recently too but the young man doesn't have an offer that I know of. He might be a surprise signing. I'm just speculating on all this though.

Oh, the kicker was only offered a PWO. I don't know if that's a standard offer for kickers but it seems to be kind of weak for a position that looks to be a big need for the Cats. Maybe there is some academic aid he could get as well.
Well, you’re 0 for 1 but in a good way with Williams committing.
1 for 2 now! Possibly, 2 for 3 with Johnson.

Yup, 2 for 3. Any word on Lee and Gardner?

Okay, less than 24 hrs to the start of the second signing period for high school athletes. The Cats currently have three commits that should be signing tomorrow. There are a few more recent offers out for two receivers and I believe at least one of them may announce tomorrow that he wants to be a Bobcat. The kicker that the Cats offered just got another offer to Southern Utah, so I don’t expect he would be committing real soon. All the pre-September player offers are pretty old and I haven’t seen those players post anything about visits or interest in coming to Bozeman. There is always a chance for a surprise though. Obviously, there is still time for high school players to sign after tomorrow and for transfers as well.

Gardner hasn’t posted about a visit and neither has Lee. I still believe Gardner is an EWU guy since that’s all he seems to follow and post about. Gardner could be swayed I guess, but he is from Spokane. If Lee is anything other than a PWO, then I would be surprised.
I doubt Boyd is still on the wall since the Cats already have two DB commits for this signing period.

A handful of transfers sign post-spring ball so usually there is another May announcement of more players entering the program prior to summer workouts starting.

That would be one way to replace Rush Reimer

That's amazing. I figured Choate would be all over getting him.

My comment was more geared towards Choate not getting him but I know you are itching for a fight, but I'm not biting. I've had enough of this type of stuff today. Have a nice day.

It's been over an hour since the last notice was posted, so I'm taking a break. I know the rest of the guys are PWOs and aren't required to sign anything, but I'm sure something will be put out by the Cats on their commitments soon.
