Upcoming games

Post by iaafan » Wed Oct 16, 2019 9:35 am

I like the upcoming schedule. The next four teams rank between 9th and 14th in pass defense efficiency. UM is 7th.

Presents a great opportunity for further QB development.

UND - 11th (based on BSC games) 145.5
SUU - 10th 144.2
NC - 13th 163.4
UCD - 9th 143.6
UM 7th 137.1

UND will be Rovig's first game in a dome if I'm not mistaken?

Yeah, maybe he’s a kickass player in domes!

UND beat Poly with a late TD. Ketteringham threw a 39-yard TD on 4th and 2. Poly led for most of the game and was up 23-14 late in the third. UND scored 10 unanswered, but Poly ran the ball 15 out 16 plays (the lone pass was incomplete) for a FG with about 3:30 to play.

Two other future opponents met with Davis beating SUU 33-26. Davis squandered a 33-7 lead and turned ball over on downs up 11 with 6:30 to play, but SUU threw an INT.

UNC got behind 24-7, but hung around and got the ball with 4:10 to play with a chance to tie game, but threw an INT.

MSU - 15 team National Champions (most recent 2021); 57 individual National Champions (most recent 2023).

Love this stretch. We’re going to set up nice for the playoffs.

If any of those posters who predicted 1 win during this stretch, or even 2 wins, my offer still stands.

$100 in thanksgiving food for the food drive to anyone who wants to put their money where their mouths are about the cats only winning 1 or 2 of their next five.

Agree, love this set up. As fans we're allowed to look ahead and we all know the huge game looming, against likely the toughest remaining opponent on the schedule is UM. Looking at how we both fared against Sac State, I agree with other posters on here stating that we fared waaaaay better against them even though we got our asses kicked as well. That UM defense is strange, and not very good IMO. Thompson is a heluva QB, and those receivers are damn good at going up and making catches but how in the hell were there wide open receivers running all over the field? I saw the same thing when Griz played ISU, but the ISU QB just didn't hit them in the 2nd half. If we played them tomorrow I love our chances as I see Rovig continue to improve (He played the Sac D better than Sneed). Bummer for Griz Nation about Sneed, sounds like he's out for EWU. Maybe I'm a bad person but it wouldn't hurt my feelings one bit if UM had to come to Bozeman this year and march their 3rd or 4th string QB out there (Sound familiar?) Of course not wishing for injury to any players whatsoever.

Great time to be a BOBCAT!
