Their offensive line...take a look at their team site roster. Most all starters return. The whole group has about ninety starts and two were among the tri-captains from last season. The third is a returning defensive lineman. As is required down there, they are Texas huge. But so was SMU.....catatac wrote: ↑Sat May 11, 2019 1:30 pmYa, oddsmakers will probably have us getting beat by about 30, which is probably as good a prediction as any.BleedingBLue wrote: ↑Sat May 11, 2019 11:46 amI'm not sure about that. In typical TTU fashion Alan Bowman is a gun slinger. And a very efficient one at that. In 8 games last year he completed just shy of 70% of his passes and threw for just over 2600 yards, as a true freshman. While they will probably be awful on D as usual, our defense is going to be thoroughly tested right out of the gate.Cledus wrote: ↑Fri May 10, 2019 7:23 pmYeah, I think we can go into Lubbock even money.Montanabob wrote: ↑Fri May 10, 2019 10:32 amhttp://www.msn.com/en-us/sports/ncaafb/ ... ocid=ientp

Remember that game - didn't we almost pull that one off? Was thinking that was the game there was a major disputed catch/non-catch in the end zone by our Cats?Mr Lisle wrote: ↑Fri May 24, 2019 4:26 pmHey, I'm a Bobcat, we always have a chance....except the time the team showed up in Cheney, Washington with most of the numbers I was used to watching still back in Bozeman with the flu. Re: 2019 schedule is available
Great memory! I found an article on that game which was suddenly played clear back in 2009. The Cats were without five defensive starters plus kicker/punter Jason Cunningham and Eric Fisher. Couldn't convert an extra point. MSU did have a fine day in spite of circumstances. Cody Kempt went 20-37 and two TD's. CJ Palmer rushed for 134 yds. Late in the game with the Bobcats trailing 24-28 Everett Gilbert caught what looked like a 4 yd TD pass giving the Cats a 30-28 lead. According to the article a long discussion among refs resulted in a reversed call and Eastern ended up with the ball on the 4. They then drove 96 yards and scored with less than two minutes remaining to close it out. Taiwan Jones had a great day.lcodecat wrote: ↑Fri May 24, 2019 6:27 pmRemember that game - didn't we almost pull that one off? That was before the ugly red carpet. On a very shaggy grass field. TV had some pretty good views. The end zone chalk was so weak and smudged on the grass that a definitive call was basically impossible. Play should have been a touchdown because there was no way to know it wasn't — as well as the fact that through my ‘Cat glasses it was a touchdown! I never could figure how they could have decided no touchdown based on evidence.

Thanks for the video!
I didn’t ever see anybody signal a touchdown. I think if one of them had called a touchdown they would’ve left it that way but the longer the indecision lasted the less likely it was going to turn out to be a touchdown.
I was at that game. Couldn’t see that corner of the end zone from my seat, but I know it was a touchdown.

I just prefer day games for sports like football, baseball and soccer that primarily play outdoors. I like the atmosphere better. I also prefer grass over SprinTurf/ FieldTurf. Hopefully grass becomes more cost effective and we can bring it back.DriscollCat wrote: ↑Thu May 30, 2019 4:09 pmHaha, I originally read your post to mean that you weren't sure if it was going to be a daytime game despite the 4pm EST tag. I always enjoyed playing under the lights. However, one can dress for a December playoff game under the lights, even in Bozeman. As far as playing in late afternoon in Texas early in the season. Hot.DriscollCat wrote: ↑Fri May 31, 2019 8:32 amYeah, eventually I figured out what you meant. It was just kind of a double-take moment. I can definitely appreciate that perspective. It's kind of funny that even something like game times has such differing opinions. I personally love going to games under the lights, and I loved playing under the lights. To me you can't beat the atmosphere of a game under the lights, especially a big game. I've been to several Utah games and the best games by far are the night games. The crowd is more active, especially the student section. I really hope Gold Rush is a night game.iaafan wrote: ↑Fri May 31, 2019 7:57 amI just prefer day games for sports like football, baseball and soccer that primarily play outdoors.
