You arent kidding. I have said for a couple years he was the best LB we have had since Singleton. Excellent tackler.catsrback76 wrote: ↑Sat Dec 01, 2018 4:02 pmNot taking anything away from Collins, but Hill when he is healthy and playing is our best LB... hands down.

Partly true. But I'm so sick about acting like sacrificing our linebacker corps is somehow holding the QB position together while 4 other QBs warm the bench. I'm reasonably optimistic that moving Troy back to a position he can play will help, in just not sure it gets us over the hump.CatsNoMatterWhat wrote: ↑Sat Dec 01, 2018 4:10 pmI think we’ll be flirting with pre-season top 10...and I think that’s correct. Returning pretty much the whole team while holding the QB position together with wood screws this season. Also, lots of injuries to the secondary this game. They won’t base it on this game. The Jacks are probably the 1 team that can run with NDSU so that was a good loss. We’re fine folks.onceacat wrote: ↑Sat Dec 01, 2018 4:04 pmOk, but why did we get equally shellacked by SDSU & EWU. I think there's a lot of making excuses going on here. We're probably too 20, but a long way from competing with a Top 5/8 program.GoldstoneCat wrote: ↑Sat Dec 01, 2018 3:42 pmDisagree. Football isn't transitive like that, IMO. If we lose by 50 today, it doesn't mean we're 7 touchdowns from national relevance. It's about matchups. These guys are the same as us, except better at every position in the trenches, and the entire defense. Doesn't mean that's true any time after today, or certainly next year. We're better than we're showing, it's a bad matchup and a team not built to play from behind. House money.

Also had the 2 seed in "deep water," at their place. This team is borderline seeded, if not higher, next year, based on player development and the schedule. This experience is valuable.onceacat wrote: ↑Sat Dec 01, 2018 4:04 pmOk, but why did we get equally shellacked by SDSU & EWU. I think there's a lot of making excuses going on here. You could call holding on every play. On the cats too. Bison block downfield amazing.

There will always be new challenges. It’s the teams with enough true depth at each position that are able to win consistently despite them. We’re getting close. Deep stable of QBs next year (FINALLY!) and Troy removes the mid-level pass game on D next year allowing the lines and safeties to function correctly.onceacat wrote: ↑Sat Dec 01, 2018 4:16 pmPartly true. How many times will they allow the defensive end to line up offsides before calling it?

I couldn’t read most of this thread, but did you guys see that Troy is playing with a clearly new (or reaggrivated) break in his left hand?
We knew we were not likely to even be close in this one. I don’t care what any of you say, I am proud of these boys. Tough as nails.

There’s literally no reason to mention the officials at all. They’re MAYBE .0001% of the reason we’re getting throttled.

Agreed. If we were down 14 going into the 4th then maybe...but the refs are a silly hill to die on right now.ilovethecats wrote: ↑Sat Dec 01, 2018 4:29 pmThere’s literally no reason to mention the officials at all. They’re MAYBE .0001% of the reason we’re getting throttled.
